Pros: There was not a taxi in sight when I arrived, so I called the hotel. First they tried to find a taxi for me, then they sent one of the cooks to pick me up personally. That is great service! The hotel also has a restaurant, and the food was great there. Can fully recommend it.

Pros: Breakfast was great...the location was a bit further from Ingelheim am Rhein than anticipated - needed a cab rather than walking to restaurants, etc.
Cons: The wifi only worked in the lobby or breakfast area which made it a bit inconvenient traveling for work. I didn't realize there was no AC and I happened to be staying during a heat wave in Germany....

Pros: Very clean room and friendly staff
9.6 Excellent
Pros: This is a lovely quaint hotel. It was well appointed and provided us with everything we needed. The staff were very friendly. The adjacent restaurant was also great and well worth a visit.
Cons: We had a family room which consisted of two rooms together. The blind in the smaller room was very light and we were woken quite early from the daylight. I don't think this would be an issue in the main guest room as it had a proper roller shutter on the window.

Cons: Nothing. Everything very nice.

8.3 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was adequate. A few things could be improved eg user friendly juice jugs instead of bottles with difficult to open tops. The coffee machine wasn't working very well when we were there. A staff member should really be in the area where the food is as many times there seemed to confusion about procedures. The staff were very helpful including changing our room from from an extremely small room to a larger one. We appreciated their help in this
Cons: The lift was very slow to reach our floor. We ended up using the stairs mostly. Personally I do not like a glass partition between the bathroom and bedroom. I prefer more privacy. Plumbing and ventilation is always a problem in old buildings and in this hotel, it was also to some extent.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Really close to the train station Clean rooms and really comfortable beds
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were all so professional, helpful and very friendly. Sianka on reception was so welcoming and gave me lots of useful info on the city and getting around. The location is perfect, right by the train station. My room was super clean and very comfortable. I highly recommend this hotel.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Wow! Such a stylish and service-oriented hotel with a great location! The corner room with the large bay window was very spacious and well appointed. Amenities like a coffee pod machine and sitting area were great for unwinding at the end of the day. The breakfast buffet was well worth the 15euro per person and the evening cocktail program is great! The staff was always there to answer a question, make a coffee or chat about our travels. Will definitely book again if I am back in Mainz!
Cons: Everything was perfect
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This hotel is a gem, about a minute’s walk from the Mainz Hauptbahnhof. I got a couple of nice perks as a Marriott Bonvoy member - free internet, and a free upgrade to a room with a small sitting area and a balcony. The room/ bathroom was very clean, and bed was exceptionally comfortable. We were there on a hot summer day, and the air conditioning was adjustable and worked beautifully (which isn’t always the case in European hotels, as I’ve learned from experience). We wanted to especially commend Yasmin at the front desk, for being so friendly and helpful with our questions about planning some day excursions. We also loved the ability to stream from Netflix from our phones/ iPads onto the tv in the room. Even though we were just across the street from the train station, the room was well insulated and we were never disturbed by street noise. Full marks to this hotel!
Cons: No complaints! A wonderful stay.
7.5 Good
Pros: Simple, clean and cozy place to stay for 1-2 nights
Cons: A type of one of the rooms was not available upon arrival after an ordinary check in time, and we wound out that got lower level room when entered into.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Outstanding hotel! EVERYTHING was really excellent, the room, the bathroom, the beds, the espresso coffee maker in the room. The combination of accessibility and comfort. But most of all what took us by surprise was the staff, not just polite, but happy to help, all of them. On our last morning - a Saturday - the breakfast room was very busy and there was only one lady attending to everything. Perhaps another person would have been grumpy, stressed and bad mannered. This lady did everything on her own efficiently and she had the best smile for every one.
Cons: - Other guests did not respect the disabled only parking, and there was no control from the hotel over that. - The day before check out when our room was done, they forgot to add soap (shower gel) and toilet paper, so then we had to be careful with those!
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Newly renovated modern clean rooms
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Good comfortable stay
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly and dedicated stuff! Nicely located very close to the tram to get to the inner city.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The hotel personal was really nice and forthcoming. Our room was very spatious and clean. The information provided through the brochures found in the room was more than I saw in many of the hotels we were at in the past year. Possibility of free parking (with limited spaces) but also the payed parking isn't expensive.
Cons: Breakfast is somewhat pokey but for a short stay it is allright.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent place to stay. Modern, clean, spacious room. Friendly helpful staff (bonus they spoke English). Hearty breakfast! 5 stars
Cons: Very warm (heat wave in Europe) however had a fan in the room. Weather not something the hotel can control.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Very clean. Parking. 24h access. Heating on demand, room warms up in minutes. And VERY clean.
Cons: Very noisy, can hear housekeeping through the walls from 7:30am. No strategic power points. Need them both sides of the bed where everyone plugs in their phones.
3.3 Mediocre
Pros: staff ok quite close to centre
Cons: price over 500 euros for 2 nights in a less than budget hotel rooms so small you couldnt swing a cat.walls so thin it sounded like everyone in the coridoor was in your room bar service poor noise fro buding site started at 7 shower tiny had to clear your tray up at breakfast just like at school dont mind doing it but not for over 500 euros car park small and very expensive uncomfy beds
10.0 Excellent
Cons: I would post the wifi password in each room.

8.8 Excellent
Pros: We enjoyed our stay, the rooms were very clean and comfortable. The location is on the outskirts but very easy and inexpensive to travel to town by bus. There was free parking available at the hotel. We loved the restaurant as the food was delicious. Most of the staff didn’t speak English but they were extremely patient helping us order food and answering any questions in the best way they could. The waitress at the restaurant was especially helpful and made us feel very welcomed.
Cons: The pillows and duvets need upgrading.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Standard of food in the restaurant always reliably good (continuing from previous visits) and staff always eager to help with a very nice family atmosphere
Cons: Wifi was rather weak in places
10.0 Excellent
Pros: (Note: I'm from the USA, NOT Panama!) We liked the location. It was easy to get to by car, close to the Rhine River valley we were visiting, and had free parking. The property has been recently remodeled and is very nice, both inside and outside. It is in a quiet area. The (7 euro) breakfast was excellent . The manager went out of her way to assist us with our requests.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Clean modern room, great food in the restaurant and really friendly staff.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is our new favorite. The food is delicious, and our accommodations are very comfortable. We added breakfast to our plan and it was well worth it. Everything here is immaculate, and the staff Is always helpful and friendly. Also, they feature Franziskahner beer which is already my first choice. We came back for 9 days to find our old favorites. After staying here and trying 10 different menu selections in the restaurant, we found what we really missed. I was stationed at Finthen Army Airfield 45 years ago. Our daughter was born at Wiesbaden. We miss the raucous old men at Wackernheimer Hof. We miss the hearty food, boars head on the dining room wall, and the low light ambiance of Michael’s Gasthouse Those places have changed, but we found what we really missed at Zum Babbelnit. The nearby bus stop is handy for Mainz Hauptbahnhof and Wackernheim. The gated car parking plaza is secure and very attractive. If we’re able to return, we’ll stay here again.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: very nice personnel, good location in Finthen, and excellent breakfast, good price to value
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Relatively good breakfast (according usual German practice) including hot food like omelette and sausage. Good location near bus stop. Reasonable cost.
Cons: Wi-fi is too slow. There is no mini bar or small refrigerator in the room. There is not electric kettle in the room.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Very clean rooms, very quiet too. We ate in the restaurant one evening and it was excellent. There is parking on site, but it is limited. We got a space both nights we were there, but I could imagine if the hotel was full, that might not be the case. The staff was very pleasant as well.
Cons: The pillows were not the best quality. Adequate, but not great. The breakfast selection was OK, but I would have appreciated more selection of breads. Also the breakfast room was not as cosy as the restaurant, which was really lovely.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was all very good
Cons: I emailed the hotel before booking and never received a response.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Quite and family atmosphere at the hotel.Good ratio between price and qualify. Very polite and professional staff. Very good restaurant is located at the hotel!

Cons: Maybe block out curtains could be installed.
6.7 Good
Cons: It’s not really a hotel. It’s a “boarding house” above a busy restaurant. There’s no front desk or real in-house service. Weird set-up, feels kind of fly-by-night. Needs to be made a LOT more clear on booking.com description. Also the fluorescents overhead lighting in the rooms is horrible, but that’s a minor gripe. Otherwise the place was clean and comfortable enough.

9.6 Excellent
Pros: Very beautiful hotel right next to the park, close to the city center. Very good to come with children. There is a small playground inside and outside as well. Excellent breakfast.
Cons: Some of the rooms doesn´t have an airconditining.
5.0 Okay
Pros: The dining area looked plush and eating breakfast outside was nice
Cons: I was disappointed - the location was further from the town and wasn't as close to the river as I expected and there was a large railway track in between ( trains going past our room), the layout of the hotel was very hard to navigate and finding the spa was almost impossible, the jacuzzi wasn't working and the sauna/steam rooms far too hot ( although we did enjoy some time as the only ones in the pool), paying for parking seemed a little excessive, and finally the lack of air con in our rooms was unbearable - a fan on all night still left us all v hot and uncomfortable ( this was strange because attempts had clearly been made to upgrade parts of the hotel).
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Stayed here lots of times. A beautiful room overlooking the park. The hotel has good facilities and the staff are excellent. My wife enjoyed the pool and I enjoyed the air conditioned room and lovely shower. They also offer parking and a lovely breakfast. The restaurant is Michelin starred and offers excellent food.

8.0 Excellent
Pros: Room with air con at it was very hot. Nice bed and bathroom
Cons: No food or drink available on Sunday. COME ON !!! this is a major city this is not rural Germany. We had to walk out on a hot evening to find food and a drink. Also the only bottled water in the room was ridiculously expensive. When we stayed in Best Western Trier, the water in the room was free, they had food and they even put free ice pops in reception as the weather was hot. This Mainz hotel is not concerned about ordinary guests. Also this Mainz hotel is out of reach of the main city up a steep hill so precludes walking

Pros: Staff were exceptionally helpful and welcoming. I was visiting Mainz for a family christening and travelling with my elderly mother. The staff could not have been more accommodating. The rooms were spacious and extremely clean. The hotel restaurant has a wonderful terrace overlooking the city and the food at lunch was superb (and reasonably priced!).
Cons: The hotel restaurant/bar closes at 1400 on a Sunday. It could do with, at the very least, a coffee shop.

Hyatt Regency Mainz - Mainz - Building

9.0 Excellent (2,249 reviews)
Overview Reviews
Mainz is one of Germany's oldest cities and is home of a university, a diocese and of several TV and radio broadcast stations. The Rhine Main area is a very important economical region in Europe and Frankfurt International airport a 25 minute drive from the hotel plays a decisive role for the surrounding cities of Wiesbaden, Darmstadt and Frankfurt.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The location, the restaurant, breakfast, friendly staff and spacious rooms.
9.6 Excellent

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location and outdoor bar and restaurant right on the river Walking distance to the Old Town
7.9 Good
Pros: Everything was very nice, but the location is really perfect!!
Cons: Only as constructive feedback: the steam bad was never warm enough and had a smell that could be avoided with some aroma therapy or herbs.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location is absolutely perfect. The hotel is a beautiful modern facility with excellent lobby, friendly staff, excellent restaurants of different price levels including a patio seating area along the Rhine, beautiful corridors, and comfortable rooms. The price was just right for this level of amenities and location. If we are in Mainz again this is where we will stay. Some notable highlights are the lobby lounge where you can sit down to relax and have a coffee in the morning, or a drink in the evening. The room corridors are some of the best I've seen with warm color tones, unique capers, the warm pleasing tones of the crafted wood doors with chrome highlights, and individually lit photographs of Mainz. The rooms were well equipped with very nice bathrooms. The pool was large and warm. It is large enough to do laps plus it has a swimming jet for stationary swimming. Really my only suggestion was more temperature in the hot tub. The location is minutes from a train station, and a capable walk from the main Hbf train station. The hotel is directly on the river walk along the Rhine which is vibrant and full of people, activities, and the river boats.
Cons: This is an excellent hotel but if I had to pick on anything no matter how trivial, it was that the hot tub water temperature was a little low.
3.3 Mediocre

Cons: Breakfast
9.6 Excellent
Pros: We were very happy with everything especially the staff
Cons: Shower water went all over the bathroom floor Not enough bathroom products
9.6 Excellent

7.5 Good
Pros: very good location, nice breakfast , hotel room is very big for 3 persons !
5.0 Okay
Pros: Restaurant staff excellent. Location exc.
Cons: A/C heating in room was totally ineffective. Pillows extremely uncomfortable. No commissar/doorman, and guests struggled to get through front doors with luggage. On checkout they seemed to have no knowledge of my booking.com booking and payment, even though I showed it to them on check in. They asked for a payment 200 Euros more than the correct amount as booked. They refused to give me a bill and said I had to pay first. Receptionist was uncooperative and arrogant and bossy, and no hint of apology when I showed her the booking.com paperwork. Luckily I showed her the booking.com paperwork and she very reluctantly made the correction. Her manner was extremely arrogant eg "She who must be obeyed".

Pros: Great hotel, a short walk from Mainz city centre. Large, clean rooms and nice spa.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Novotel Mainz was a good hotel, easily reached from the main train station in Mainz, either by walking or cab. What was very handy was the nearby lift that get's you to the city center level withouth having to do quite such the big walk to get into the centre. The Health Center was excellent.
Cons: We had to learn about the city-center lift, which while not a deal breaker, it would have been nice to be told on check-in. The rooms are ok, maybe a little on the sparse side, but it depends on what you expect.
