The location, the restaurant, the stuff
It was hot in the room
Great location, quite spacious and clean.
It was possibly the worst bed I ever slept on. Other person did not have any issues with it, but I could not sleep on it at all.
We ended up staying next door (in hotel Des Alpes) given COVID measurements and cooperation. The communication and logistics of this change were very smooth. Location of the hotel is great (need to park elsewhere though), rooms are clean and comfortable, and staff was very friendly.
Breakfast is pretty basic but still solid price quality!
A cozy, comfy and quiet boutique hotel in Old Town. Basic buffet breakfast with cereals, coffee or tea, juices, yogurt, bread, cold meats and cheeses, hard-boiled eggs. The hotel houses an Italian restaurant serving lunch and dinner which also allows access to hotel reception and rooms. Room 501 is under a dormer and has a private sundeck with partial river view. The bathroom is compact with shower stall under a dormer, so if you are tall you may have to stoop a bit. A 10 min. walk from train station, tho map directions were somewhat confusing--a better route is after crossing Seebrucke bridge, take immediate right on Rathausquai (along river), follow until Da Ernesto's restaurant, and make immediate right just after.
The breakfast was well set out and refilled regularly. There was a great selection on food and drink - delicious!
The room was well set out, although the lighting could be improved, but still very clean. The bed was really comfortable. The bathroom was a great size, with lots of hot water and towels.
