Although it’s be “updated” as you walk the halls it

Beautiful decor but left a lot to be desired.

The room was spacious and decorated up to date and very beautifully. The tv was placed creatively so we could use it many ways in the room.

First, the indoor pool which my children were anticipating, was FREEZING even though it is late May. We thought the hot tub would be a good compromise but there was barely any water in it. Second, the bathroom in our room was not as clean as it should have been. Long black hair was stuck to the side of the shower and the floor looked like it hadn’t been mopped thoroughly. There were not enough towels given and the ones that were had make up stains on them. We wanted to use the pull out sofa for our son but there were no sheets provided-only a blanket-and the extra pillow had a used pillowcase on it. The sheets on the bed were very old and worn out and uncomfortable to sleep on. Finally, we woke up excited about hot breakfast included with our stay. We arrived at 8am to find the food mostly gone, including the waffle mix. I had to go to the front desk to ask for some attention with it and when the attendant was retrieved she casually began filling trays which took at least 20 minutes to fill. She told me that she would have to completely make more waffle mix and had some attitude about it. The waffle dispenser is pretty large and there wasn’t a huge crowd there so that tells me it wasn’t refilled that morning in the first place. We checked out shortly after very disappointed. This isn’t the worst place I’ve ever stayed but it certainly didn’t make me want to return any time soon which is a shame. We were in town moving our best friends to Lubbock from Abilene and anticipate that we will be coming to Lubbock several times a year now. We would have loved to have a go-to hotel to stay in.
