Fabulous to have a bathroom where you didn’t feel claustrophobic or have to move around to get wet under the shower head. Lovely toiletries supplied. The beds were so comfortable. The position was terrific for our needs. Walking distance from the train station and the Main Street as well as to the ferries to Cinque Terra. Great breakfast available as well. We had over an hour to wait for our train but didn’t want to walk around. We were welcomed to stay and read a book in the breakfast / bar and to use the charging facility.

Cons: As expected, the room was on the small side and there is no outdoor area. Since it was exceptionally hot while we were there, we didn't even want to open the windows in case more hot air or sunlight would warm up the room further.

Cons: Hotel has 6 or 7 floors, entrance is from the street (5th floor). Parking is in front of hotel, but you can’t be sure that you will find any space. Many rooms in hotel, but not so many parking spaces. We paid pretty much for room on 2nd floor (under the street), so it was better not to look through window. We reserved room for two, but there stands max one person on booking reservation. We asked through e-mail how this is possible, and got confirmation that it will be prepared for two. It was a problem on check-in again, so we had to asked specially double room. Room was not for two, there was small bed and we didn’t receive room that we booked. We picked room because of photos, different rooms have different photos, but we didn’t received room from photos. Unfortunately, very dirty and dark place (town) to stay. We was here just for one night and that was enough.

Great selection for breakfast, both sweet and savoury options. The maps and information for Cinque Terre including the train times were provided by reception on arrival which was very helpful and much appreciated.

Cons: The 3 stars of this hotel is from another era. This hotel requires to be rejuvenated. The equipment is old and maintenance is certainly a necessity. Do not be fulled by the photo on the site of this hotel. It was been shot from the railway station concourse and you only see the upper part of this hotel. The entrance is along a busy street below the station wall. Ensure that you request parking facility with the hotel should you be coming by car.

Cons: I would request a room not facing the street if you are a light sleeper. The windows and blinds blocked out some noise, but was still a little noisy. By my 3rd and final night I think I got used to it! The coffee for breakfast from the coffee machine I thought did not taste very good. I did notice some guests were asked if they wanted a freshly made coffee from the bar....not sure what the deal was there and why not offered to all guests.

Pros: We arrived on August 17th unaware of Festa Della Madonna Bianca. The woman at the reception desk told us about this wonderful event. She even pulled up pictures on her computer to show us. We took her advice and took a ferry over to experience the festival. It was AMAZING! It was definitely the highlight of our stay! Wish I knew her name to thank her!

Cons: Felt bad for a couple who was checking out before us. They thought their breakfast was included in the reservation. So, they had an unexpected $60 charge. Fortunatly the woman told us at check-in that it wasn't included in ours. The gentleman checking both of us out was a bit stern with the confusion. Not pleasant to watch.

Cons: Very old building, photos are tricky, we got 2 connected rooms as requested for 2 adults and 2 kids but both had terrible smoking smell from a previous reckless guest who didn’t care about the no smoking sign on the doors , hotel was full so we didn’t get other rooms till next day ... doors of the rooms are hard to open as they use old SIM card, bed was very soft couldn’t sleep the full night , shower door leaks to ground, bed back full of dust ... next day changed both rooms with no smoking smell but toilets were leaking... overall worst ever hotel i stayed in over 25 years... but all other hotels were full so trust me don’t stay there... despite the proximity from the beach and ferry and the old town chose another one ...
