Beautiful views, professional, helpful, friendly staff.
It was confusing about the room housekeeping. Most places will come and make your bed, provide fresh linens, etc. daily unless you request otherwise. Our room wasn't cleaned unless we asked to have it done. They were quite courteous and willing to provide the service when we requested it.
The location couldn’t be better. Our room in a carriage house at the back was beautifully decorated and very comfortable.
Room was fabulous! King size bed. Extremely comfortable mattress as well as bed coverings/pillows. Radiant heated floor in bathroom. Refridgerator in room. Overall size of room.
Felt the price was high due to the facts that the room was booked back in April for Oct.19th stay as well as not being in main building on Ocean Ave with view for that price.
Location next to ocean
Breakfast was excellent in the ocean view inn. However, we were actually booked in a lodge 1/4 mile inland. The lodge room was very “inn like” and was nestled in a wooded area. Nice area but we expected an ocean view room at the coastal inn.
It is not clear when booking through 3rd party if you’re room will be ocean view inn, or at the lodge in the woods. Very disappointed when we checked in, expecting an ocean view room and then having to drive to the “lodge” located away from the ocean with no water view.
Set against shimmering ocean views, Cape Arundel Inn and Resort provides a scenic, getaway destination for families, couples, and vacationers. It consists of two mansions: The Club House, which is nestled within the woods, and the Inn's Main house located close to the water. Standard room features include marble or tile bathrooms, plush bedding, and complimentary Wifi. The resort also offers a private cottage, featuring over 1,200 square feet of space, including a dining area, living room, three bedrooms, and a kitchen.
Guests at The Inn get to enjoy a wide selection of dishes at Ocean Restaurant, the resort’s glass-walled fine dining restaurant. It offers a seasonal menu featuring signature dishes like Lobster Thermidor. The Club House serves a continental breakfast, with house-made pastries and fresh coffee as well as lunch and dinner in the dining room. It also boasts a full bar, where guests can unwind.
The hotel has a heated outdoor pool with poolside-dining and lounge chairs. Other amenities and services at the hotel include yoga on the lawn, complimentary kayak and canoe rentals, a complimentary shuttle, and even bicycles for tours.
Set within a five-minute walk to Walker's Point, Cape Arundel Inn and Resort is situated close to several major landmarks. It’s a half hour’s walk from Kennebunkport Village Green and a similar distance to W. Robert Paine Gallery. Bush Compound and St Ann’s Episcopal Church are set within a 10-minute walk while Portland Intl. Jetport Airport is a 40-minute drive from the hotel.
