It was pretty decent and cheap. Good value for your money. Almost everything is self service. Locks are automated.
Kinda bit hard to locate the hostel. We only actually saw the owner/receptionist once in our whole stay. The least that I liked about this place is there were bed mites/bugs. Upon waling up in the morning, we had lots of bites on our arms and legs. It was super itchy.
The mattress was the most perfect combination of firm yet soft that I have encountered. The owner had a wall of cute bracelets that you could buy if you wanted - they were super cute and I did end up splurging and buying one. The whole place was very clean. The beds in the shared dorm had curtains and small lockers. It's very near the train station yet the specific area it's in is more residential and therefore quiet.
There is a monitor in the lobby with all the guest names and room numbers where everyone can see it. Additionally, this place is a "self serve" hostel - I later found that the self serve was included in the Chinese name but as I primarily read English and it was not in the English name, I was caught off guard by this. Basically there is contact info for the owner on the door (she lives next door), you can Line message her if you don't have phone minutes or call her if you don't have data. She'll come over and help you with check in. The last thing I didn't like about this place was how difficult it was to find. The address Google maps took me to originally was the wrong place (though nearby, so not a complete waste of time) and my friend who was meeting me there couldn't find it at all. I ended up finding it by putting the Chinese name of the hostel into Google maps and had to message my friend step by step directions how to get there.
we keep our baggage at hostel and it is free of charge
The owner is very nice. She let me leave my luggage for a few days because I couldn't carry it away. Thank you!
