Great stay for first time in Istanbul
Tria was located in a upscale part of the Old City filled with restaurants and cafes. It was a 5 minute walk to center of Sultanahmet where the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sofia are located. Room was very nice with a large King bed which was so comfy. Had partial view of harbor where you could see boats coming in. Amazing continental turkish breakfast included - so many things to choose from. My favorite was the fresh honey on bread. There is a restaurant on top of the hotel which a beautiful view of the city. We ate there one night and it was very good.
The elevator is very very small and a bit slow.
Noisy, noisy, noisy.
The quiet location of the Tria Hotel.
On check-in we were allocated a room in another building on a very noisy street with restaurants, bars and night clubs. This room was in the 3 star Tria Elegance Hotel and not the 4 star Tria Boutique Hotel as booked over 5 months earlier. We complained and after pointing out that we had paid for a deluxe room in the other hotel - specifically because it was in a quiet street with a Bosphorus view and an elevator, we were moved for the remaining nights. After talking to other guests it became obvious that this was happening to many others - these other rooms were at least Euro 50 cheaper and we felt that this was a scam so that the hotel could re-sell the better rooms at a higher rate in the busy season.
Breakfast very good Very convienient to all sites. Missed no lift when moved to Tria Elegance.
Did not like that I had booked a deluxe double room and was given a lesser room with no explanation and the matter was only resolved when I raised the issue.
Well situated off in the old sector
Some rooms could be small
we loved mostly the hotel staff, who were extremly helpfull and nice. the room looked excellent, the hoel was located in the centre of the town and all the important tourists sites were very close.
the jacuzzi wasnt working and they didnt fix it during our stay. the hotel didnt have a turkish bath and sauna
The staff was very helpful.
Very helpful and polite staff, good organisation of services, good breakfast selection, fantastic location.
The standard rooms very small with not enough storage space. We had to change to the de-lux room to be really comfortable but we got a good deal on it. It was also explained to us that most of the hotels in the old otoman houses have rather small rooms, which we accepted
Rooms were extremely small, not a lot of windows
very friendly stuff, cozy rooms, beautiful view
The staff was very friendly and helpfull. Rooms were very clean and tastfull decoration. Very close from historical area. If we go to Istanbul again we will stay in this hotel.
