Beautiful property! Everything was great!
Perfect Atmosphere as expected
I am a big fan of the Soho Houses around the world and of course the Istanbul one wasn’t any less than the others. Absolutely recommended!!!! :-)
Excellent location and the facilities. Atmosphere is simply fantastic, from the rooftop pool to the garden side breakfast area. The club (which guests have access to) even has a separate rooftop bar/lounge, which had 2 nights (Friday and Sat) of full on DJ and dance. Great atmosphere and would recommend to anyone travelling without kids as a must stay location. Soho House simply exceeded our expectations in every way and then some.
The carpet outside the rooms (in the corridors) at least on the 4th floor had a bit of smoky smell, not too bad, but given all the overwhelming positives things we experienced, this small thing was easily overlooked.
I booked this hotel on a recommendation from a friend who is a Soho House member, had stayed in this hotel and taken me to the Berlin Soho House the previous week. The hotel is practically an oasis of greenery and calm in a pretty packed part of Istanbul - for this fact alone it is very special. The hotel and rooms were very tastefully decorated with the perfect dim and subdued ambience that I personally like. The toiletries were first class. Breakfast offers a wide range of healthy bowls and more traditional fare. I had lunch at the patio and the range and quality of food was excellent. The top floor swimming pool area is a great spot to chill. The gentleman who checked me in, black hair, beard and tattoo, was outstanding. The gym is superb, very large, with two separate studios, and following the same mahogany, leather and bronze hue of the rest of the hotel. The palazzo that houses the member's club, which is adjacent to the hotel, is beautiful.
The generic complaint about staff not smiling - I'll never get used to this. Being told that there was a private event at the club, when another guest who I got to know accessed the same event - this is not good at all. The guy at the front desk who told me that the club had a private members event was not the same person at front desk who checked me in. In the hour that I spent at the rooftop pool, no one approached to ask if I needed anything... Just comparing notes with Soho House Berlin, staff there were far more engaging and positively proactive.
With a stay at Soho House Istanbul in Istanbul (Taksim), you'll be steps from Sanatorium Gallery and 3 minutes by foot from Patisserie Markiz. Featured amenities include complimentary wired Internet access, express check-in, and express check-out.
