Pros:I couldn't ask for more. The lobby and restaurants are luxurious and beautiful. I ate only at the hotel and loved the food. The reception people were all eager to help and serve and made me feel almost like home. The room was equipped with anything you can imagine. The internet was excellent. The bed smelled good and fresh. I slept like a happy baby. I went down to the gym and pool everyday. For me it was a way to relax and chill. Lady at the spa is charming, and again, makes you feel at home. It is a classy and 5 star hotel and you can tell they work hard to accommodate their guests. As to the location. It is 5 minutes by taxi (15 TL) from the Taxim Hava Bus to the airport. It is also 5 min by taxi to a huge mall with a Turkish name I cannot pronounce. It is walking distance to bars and clubs on Chumhuriet Avenue. For gay guests, it is the best of all locations. You can walk to "Love" and "super Fabric" Clubs. I couldn't ask for a better time.
Cons:I will definitely come again next time in Istanbul to this hotel and no other!
Pros:friendly and helpful staff . Close to Taksim by walking distance . There was a Shawerma place right 100 steps up street which had a very tasty and cheap food.
Cons:Hotel didn't give a five star impression , and it was located in a very low class area. Hotel was surrounded by a lot of mechanic shops which didn't look much good.
Pros:The rooms were clean and spacious, the front desk was accommodating and helpful. Concierge understood exactly what we wanted/needed and recommended accordingly.
Cons:The area is run down and awful! It's halfway up a hill, there is nothing within comfortable walking distance. It is in the middle between Taksim and Nisantasi, which are both great, but that middle area in itself is terrible. It's neither a business, residential, shopping or tourist area.. Oh and getting a Taxi to agree to take us to Harbiye every time we were out and wanted to head back was a nightmare. They hate going there because of the traffic. We visited the spa, our massage was wall to wall with the gym, actually you had to walk in and out of the therapy room THROUGH the gym. 1. it was noisy, 2, it was COLD! especially after being wet from the Turkish bath, 3, the music in the therapy room had to be really really loud to cover up the gym music.
