Overview

Founded in 1926, this two-story inn has remained unchanged. All guest rooms are on the second floor and are accessible by stairs. Bathrooms, toilets, and washrooms are shared. Convenience is not as good as the latest hotels, but please enjoy the retro atmosphere.

Summary of reviews

Guests say
Guests overwhelmingly praised the hotel's unique and nostalgic atmosphere, highlighting its traditional Japanese architecture, beautiful gardens, and retro charm. The service was consistently described as friendly, helpful, and attentive, with staff going out of their way to ensure a pleasant stay. Cleanliness was noted in both rooms and common areas, even in such an old building. Many guests enjoyed the delicious breakfast and appreciated the relaxing baths, including the onsen and traditional Japanese bathrooms. Some minor drawbacks mentioned included room humidity, lack of en suite bathrooms, and occasional noise, but these did not significantly detract from the overall positive experience.
