Residence Macapà

the staff were very helpful and friendly, the room was good value for money: clean, spacious and comfortable. It is in fairly close walking distance to the castle, beach and main area for restaurants in the evening .

Very poor location very difficult to find and far away from all the important site we might want to reach. Poor facility. Really not woth the value of the money. I would not recommend it.

Yes our stay at the Macapa was great. Staff were very nice and helpful to advice where to go out or visit (or to give us the bus number to take). The outdoor swimming pool was heated and the breakfast was composed of fresh croissants, home made cakes, jam, and really good coffees. Our flat had TV and terrase. All the necessary things to cook and a fridge/freezer. Not big luxury but very clean and modern. So we had a great stay.

The walk to the port / area with restaurants from the hotel was just over 20 minutes but the hotel was close to a small supermarket, local boucher and a fishmonger. Also the bus stop to visit the island was only 5 minutes walk. There is also possibility to rent a scooter everywhere so moving around is easier.
