Was very quiet and breakfast was good.
The bed wasn't made properly the sheets undone and creased up underneath us.
Lovely location with the pub at the front with it's open fire, the food was yummy and well prepared.
The bed was a little uncomfortable, feelingvthe springs through the sheet all night led to grumpness the next day. Waiting 40 minutes before we could order any food then not as it was described but due to being hungry after a drive from birmingham ate without complaint as didnt want to wait any longer. Food was yummy.
Breakfast was excellent, very large choice, much more available than I could eat. Convenient location on the edge of the City. Great choice of eating places you could walk to, but the food at The Hatch was very good,
Would have liked a couple of comfy chairs in the room so that we didn't have to sit on the bed. One dining room type chair was provided, which was OK for writind etc.
we have family nearby and location is great. We didn't stay for breakfast as weather turned stormy and we wanted to get home. We had a meal at restaurant in the evening and that was good and good value. Room was lovely and warm.
We didn't have a refurbished room but hopefully next time we will as we were in room 25 and felt out on a limb..
Rooms have recently been refurbished, there were clean and modern. The inn was quaint With a lot of character and a welcome log fire.
Had lunch and evening meal there. Lunch was fine. Evening meal was not good poor choice, lot of meals came with mash!! Don’t like mash .... Service was poor place mats etc was placed after we had ate our starters. My main meal was delivered not offered sauces just given an empty bottle of vinegar. Sent my food back as it came with a long black hair. Was offered another but was too put off. Would not recommend to eat there. Not good value for money.
