This property was just sold to new owners so it may change. The rooms are in a unique building with historic interest and large interesting common areas, but it is a bit run down and hopefully the new owners will restore it. The pool is refreshing.
The bathroom shower totally wets the toilet and floor. The breakfast is poor with very little selection and terrible coffee.
The location was fantastic. The property was authentic and charming, as were the proprietors. The room was clean and comfortable
The breakfast was simple and nice but it would have been lovely to have some fresh fruit provided. Value for money was average, given the breakfast. I expect if I had walked in off the street the price would have been lower.
Everything, helpful n friendly staff. Rooms are big and clean .beautiful traditional decoration Wide comfortable bed. I hope to stay there again!!
We were upgraded to a very large room with huge bathroom. Very comfortable bed (four poster with mosquito nets although luckily no mosquitoes around in the room). Good hot shower. Nice roof terrace to chill out on, with fan, and good clean small pool for cooling off. Great place to stay as a base for walking up to Chulia Street in the evenings (about 15 minutes via brilliant back streets, seeing something different every time). Good location for museums and short taxi ride to the Penang Hill funicular.
Breakfast was ok. Juice, coffee/tea, white bread for toast, choice of eggs plus three "sides". Good for the price.
Beautiful accommodation in a shop house. Clean, cozy, confortable bed, with swimming pool and benches in public spaces for a cool down time or chat with other hosts. Place is in a good location in city centre with many amenities around it. The best part of this hotel was Dani and his staff. They have been instrumental to our good holidays. Dani had plenty of suggestions for restaurants and sightseeing, including a good doctor for our daughters. Looking forward to go back to this accommodation
