there was no breakfast, but that was made clear at the booking. the room was tiny but clean. Sufficient for the single traveller. Bedside light as usual in most B&Bs/cheap hotels not adequate for reading. Friendly and helpful guy at reception, but only VERY part time: only present after 4pm, then gone again from mid evening and not present in the morning. I suppose it was cheap and cheerful and as such no money to pay for staff. In the end I might have got more value for money in a B&B? The hotel was above(but not part) of a lively restaurant in the ground floor. This didn't affect the hotel noise-wise, but was actually lovely to have a very good supper before going to bed. I ate the best fish chowder I ever had!
I loved the location - the room was very compact, clean and self sufficient. I would recommend it to others - it has so many restaurants/cafes/convenience stores surrounding it along with the lovely Salthill Promenade walk and in better weather conditions is very walkable into the city. Deirdre
Two small details: I stayed in Room 3. (a) The blind chord is all knotted up on the right hand side so therefore I could not pull down the blind fully (especially with Storm Lorenzo about) so you should get that sorted (b) The window may need a bit of sealing but considering there was a storm - this would not normally be an issue.
Location, helpful staff, clean. A bit shabby but good value for money
It was the smallest hotel room I have ever seen.
The location was good and the bed was comfortable.
We found the room very small. There was no where to put our things.
Bed was so comfy - small room but perfect for a night away
