The hotel is on the second to fourth floors so the lift was useful. The breakfast was splendid with variety, including fresh fruit, hot and cold food with a pot of coffee brought to the table. The bedroom and bathroom were large.
It was in the 30s while we were there and the room was hot with a redundant thick feather duvet on the bed. A fan would have been welcome.
The hotel is ideally located for a visit to the theatre (right around the corner), but also close to all the sites in the inner city. It's only about 8 minutes walk from the main station, so that's very close as well. The checkin was friendly, with a nice explanation about how the locks worked. The room (I had a single room) was small, but with a bed, a desk and a small bath room, I did have everything I needed. The view over the "schloss", the city towards the hills was amazing! The mattress was comfortable and I really liked the shower. The breakfast was very good, a lot of choice and it was refilled constantly, I really enjoyed it! I liked that there was a fridge on the floor that you could use for your own beverages etc. The hotel is at a busy point (lots of noise from churches and the bus station in front of the door), but the windows were very well isolated, if you closed them, you couldn't hear anything.
It was in the middle of a heatwave, and there was no air conditioning. The room was pretty hot, at night I had to choose between closing the window because of the sound and sleep in a sauna, or open it and sleep with earplugs (I chose the last option). I don't think it will be a problem outside of the summer though.
