Holy cow, the view from our room! This was by far our favorite stay in our entire 3 week trip to Sri Lanka. The balcony attached to our room gives you an amazing view of Ella Rock and Little Adam's Peak; it was so lovely I sent my husband to climb Ella Rock by himself while I stayed behind to read with the view before me lol. Our room was incredibly spacious and came with a double bed (equipped with a mosquito net that doesn't tangle up all over you! Yay!), a single bed for a third guest, a vanity, a wardrobe, ceiling fan, AC unit, mini fridge with bottled water, and hair dryer. The restroom is also incredibly spacious, but located up several steep steps. The layout of the room is such that the entrance immediately opens up to a steep set of stairs. There is a break for entry into the restroom, followed by more steps before you gain access to the bedroom. This did not bother us, but it may be of something to note if stairs aren't your thing (in fact, there are a LOT of stairs on this property!) The breakfast is located downstairs in their restaurant floor. We were offered tea, juice, breads, and either a Western or Sri Lankan breakfast. We've tried both and both were excellent. My husband and I have also utilized their laundry service; it was reasonably priced and promptly completed by the next morning. As for the location of the property, it is possible to walk to Ella Town, but expect walking up gradual slopes right beside traffic. As of March 2020, there was also heavy construction taking place to prevent landslides, so it wasn't the most pleasant commute. However, it was totally worth it for the view.
Accessing Misty Hills is tricky, because it requires going up a steep slope straight off the main road. ...This is honestly the only complaint I have.
The view is amazing, breathtaking. The quote big room very comfy and has all you need to enjoy that view; big balcony, tea and coffee facilities, refrigerator to store your beer.. The staff is ever so friendly and can arrange all you need. Bed is good with a decent muskitonet. Very large bathroom with hot water
You pick up this hotel because of the fantastic view
Beautiful view from balcony. You can watching sunrise from your room.
I wish there was a Sri Lanka’s breakfast to choose.
The food was DELICIOUS. The service was wonderful- everyone was friendly and helpful. The view was epic, worth staying just for that. We really enjoyed the spacious balcony!
The bathroom had a bit of musty smell, but this was solved by keeping the toilet lid closed when not in use.
