Friendly staff but .....

Furniture old , not clean o found 2 insects in the living room inside the suite , service is bad
Front desk and concierge were friendly. Staff is friendly in general.
The breakfast staff and F&B in general are not trained properly at all and do not meet the Saint Regis standard. I have a Gluten free and Dairy free diet because of allergies. I had 2 times during two separate stays the exact same mistake about Gluten Free and allergens understanding. Likewise, at the pool the staff didn’t seem to understand what I was talking about. Few months ago I stayed there and at breakfast, my gluten free bread was cut on the same board with the same knife than other normal breads. The guy was going to toast them in the normal toaster when I told him he can’t do what he did because of cross-contamination. The management was informed and the next day the cook came to apologies. I thought it was an accident. Therefore, I thought it won’t happened again this time. First morning at breakfast, I give the bread to the girl (different staff than previous time) at the bread station and ask her if she could heat them or toast them...and again she opened them and cut them on the normal bread board with the same knife...and again I told her “you cannot do that...” I explain her about cross-contamination...Such mistake cannot happen and certainly not 2 times...Generally speaking the staff at breakfast is clearly not meeting the brand standard. Not a 5 star experience...It’s not the staff fault, it’s clearly a management problem. They should fix it. In addition, I had another bad experience at check out... This hotel has Saint Regis name, but not the Saint Regis experience you would have anywhere else I have been.

The hospitality. The staff are so kind and sweet to you. You miss that in other hotels.
Extremely well presented throughout. Quality of the room was of a high standard. Checking of satisfaction of the room was effective, if a bit annoying.
Being told of 2 towers would have prevented a magical mystery tour of the hotel to find the room. A phone list of how to call reception would be handy. Checking that satisfaction of the room is commendable, however this ONLY requires to be done ONCE, after the 3rd check it started to become really annoying. Also the day of departure is a 1200Hrs check out, but to have interruption after interruption from approximately 1030/1100Hrs checking room, checking mini-bar, etc is damn right rude and extremely infuriating.
