Hesperia Bristol Playa

The hotel is under refurbishment which didn’t bother us and even tho our room had t been refurbished it was still very nice and comfortable. It’s close to port and all the shops bars and restaurants. We had a beautiful sea view apartment which was lovely

All the staff were lovely and very helpful with the exception of niola the receptionist with the curly hair I’m sure if you stay at this hotel you will have the displeasure of meeting her, she is a very nasty unpleasant human being, we tried so hard to be nice to her and thought maybe she is having a bad day as we all do, but no she was just plane rude and a nasty person. She is the only reason we would never return to this hotel and the on,y reason I’ve left a negative feedback. Hotel management need to look into moving her to cleaning toilets as she clearly has no concept of how to be nice or helpful to paying guests.

I think the on-sight supermarket is an excellent idea, and looked well stocked. We only stayed for one night as a last minute decision so were not really sure of the location regarding shops. The pool bar was nice as well.

I did not feel comfortable whilst interacting with the reception staff on arrival. The room we were allocated was a little out of the way and again did not feel comfortable. I felt exposed whilst sitting out on the terrace.

Great Pool & Bar area, cockroach problem in my room

Great Pool and bar area to laze in during the day, nice food and drinks at the pool bar, very pleasant staff.

Cockroaches running around the room, not very pleasant when cooking some eggs and bacon in the morning. Expect to be killing a few everyday. Price has doubled since 10 years ago but rooms haven't been upgraded since.

The location is excellent, it is near the coast, the harbour, shops, bars and restaurants as well as the bus station. We were allowed to take our small dog and we were pleasantly surprised by a dog bed, biscuits and dishes provided. The site provides meals and has a snack bar and pool; there seemed plenty of sunbeds (at least in November out of season).

No air conditioning. In a ground floor apartment it is not safe to leave the door open all night, so it is was stuffy and hot. No kettle is provided, but there was a coffee maker. The apartment we stayed in is need of upgrading, yet we, like other budget travellers are thankful for cheap accommodation like this near the harbour.

We have stayed there for five days in late November. Good location, very close to the sea (some rooms with sea view) and several minutes to bus stop, big parking in front of hotel. Three big supermarkets are nearby (5 minutes walk) plus plenty of restaurants within easy reach (10 minutes walk). Very nice pool with many sunbeds (not really comfortable). Rooms are spacious with good equipment (microwave, fridge, utensils) - enough to have nice, budget holidays with your own cooking. Guests were mixture of Germans, English, Poles, Spanish so it was nice company. The weather was very nice with accurate 20-28 degrees during the day - I wonder how it feels during the hot days as rooms do not have air conditioning or at least I did not notice it.

Pool was not heated - they said they start to do it in December. Quite far to the beach - the real one in Dunas Park is around 1 hour walk or 10 minutes by bus. Rooms were cleaned five times a week but the shower device was green (??!!) and we did nor feel the room was really cleaned. We got room near main road so the noise was the problem even if the windows were shut. Free TV programs were minimal (2 English ones) and you have to pay to get better choice. All in all Hesperia Bristol is a good value for money and I would highly recommend it for budget travellers.

No Kettle No Ashtray No Teatowels,No Dishcloths, No towels or bedding for third person booked into the apartment, overall bad experience, will not be staying again.

The beds were a bit hard and uncomfortable and we had a ground floor apartment with no balcony.

Well designed, good layout, rooms are sufficient and good value for money. The buffet style breakfast was included in the price of the room, excellent value. Location is very central.You to rent a car to enjoy the Island. Cicar were the best value when we rented. Well stocked supermarket on complex and for bread there is the "British Bakery" about 5 min walk on a parallelroad behind the hotel.

remote control fror tv had no battery, was resolved. No double bed, two singles pushed together and easily pushed apart. Otherwise all was just right!
