Pros: Friendly crew, on time departure, early arrival, and outstanding landing (I’m a pilot, so can give valid judgement).

Pros: Good variety and quality meals during the flight as well as a super array of entertainment

Cons: The seats lack cushion so a 7 hour flight gets quite painfully after a while

Pros: The crew was amazing! Its amazing the difference in overall politeness of that australian based flight crew vs a US based crew. Every need, every question, every request answered with a smile.

Cons: I was booked on flight QF 74 from San Francisco, connecting in Sydney (3 hour connection) to Queenstown, New Zealand. When I went to check in I was told that I needed a transit visa for Australia because of my Indian Passport. When I booked the flight back in September, it was not a requirement to have a transit Visa. I was told by the Qantas supervisor that this was a new requirement as of October for Indian and Chinese passport holders even with brief connections. 9 people were in a similar situation the day before and denied boarding. I understand that things change, but I am very disappointed in the service provided to me. Of course, they could not help me get an evisa for Australia, but they were not even willing to help me search for it rebook a Qantas flight connecting in a different city/country. They did not even connect me with online reservations directly to quickly do something to be able to continue on my journey. They only gave me a phone number to call and sent me away. I tried the number and was on hold for almost an hour. Luckily, my friends were on a different flight on Air New Zealand that had seats leaving in 2 hours, and I almost missed that waiting to talk to someone from Qantas. I booked a ticket with Air New Zealand (by talking to their checkin agent, who was able to connect me directly with a reservations agent via a direct line, which was something I was hoping Qantas would help me with at a bare minimum) and I was able to purchase a ticket for that Air NZ flight and continue on. I’m VERY disappointed in the way that I was treated and not provided with assistance in a timely manner. I would have almost missed that flight and have to miss out on pre-arranged travel plans losing out on an additional $2000 in tour / accommodation bookings.

Pros: The crew were excellent. Seating was comfortable.

Cons: I noticed some travellers confused by gate changes, I suspect this is due to a lack of attention on their behalf but clearly the messages hadn't gotten through.

Pros: Flight attendants were friendly and responsive.

Cons: 1. Better seats than mine flew empty, while I sat wedged in a full row, behind a wailing infant and ahead of a kicking toddler. 2. The meal choice was between a rice bowl and a salad, both served bereft of any sides, bread, or dessert. 3. We were late again, although not so badly as last time.

Pros: The crew was very friendly and I really value that.

Cons: After boarding on time, we departed about 51 minutes late because of some baggage inspection issue. For the entire time, there was only one announcement about the delay. This delay ruined my schedule on the arrival.

Pros: Snack, cocktail, quick boarding, early landing

Cons: The seat is nice and wide but has a tiny upturn at the back which is uncomfortable after 2 hours.

Pros: The crew was kind

Cons: Leg room, food
