Car was damaged and filthy.
When I arrived to pick up my rental there were 5 people in front of me all waiting for their rentals. I was told there were no rentals at that time and I would have to wait until the clerk’s supervisor called and told her what to do. She had no idea when I would get my rental. I left there with a Ford Explorer which is a far cry from a Kia compact at about 3:30 pm. I waited 21/2 hrs for that. The clerk was efficient, but the wait and the fact that there was no car waiting was inexcusable as I had a reservation. Why did I reserve a rental at all ?

SOMEBODY TELLINGME THE RENTAL DIDNT GO THROUGH BEFORE I SHOWED UP THERE IN AN UBER AND GOT STRANDEDI was never given the car! The attendant was extremely rude as she wanted to go home. The location closes at 3pm, but my pick-up time wasn't until 3pm. I called earlier in the morning to see if it was possible to pick up the car any earlier, but I was told that wouldn't be possible. I arrived on time, but there was a substantial line ahead of me. By the time she got to me her frustrations were high. I'm an American, but have lived and worked abroad for the last 6 years. I've had licenses in California, Connecticut, Ghana, and now Qatar. I reserved this car to get from CT to Boston to catch my flight back to work in Qatar. People from all over the world rent cars every day. I presented her with my Qatari driver's License, but she would not provide me with my reservation nor allow me an opportunity to present any needed supplemental documentation. She walked away from me to assist another customer in the lot. I pleaded with her to please asssit as I was trying to catch my flight that day, but she would not help and said they were closed. I asked her to please cancel my reservation if she would not help me to which she shook her head no as she walked away from me. Not only did I inconvenience someone for a ride to the car rental place, but they also had to wait and take me back with them. I also had to catch a Lyft to Boston which cost me an additional $174.99 unexpectedly. I heard many complaints from the customers ahead of me which were not dealt with appropriately. I will never book a car from that location again.
When we got the car after the first night, it was in our driveway. The tire pressure was down in one of the tires, and we had to add air every morning to the tire for the entire time we had the car.
The cost of the refueling charge is out of line with current fuel pricing. And at Bradley/Hartford the distance from the terminal to the actual car rental front desk is too far without a shuttle when you have luggage. The directional signage is poor; for first time travelers at this location.
