great location; hotel had a lot of charm
Room was a little warm
The hotel was very nice and comfortable.
The internet was very slow and hard to connect at times.
The cookies were amazing. I'm obsessed with the green velvet chairs in the lobby and breakfast area. We were given a complimentary upgrade of rooms since there was a mistake in the pictures of the rooms by booking.com. The bed and pillows were so comfortable; I never wanted to leave them. The fireplace and jacuzzi tub were wonderful. Overall, it was a very relaxing stay.
The shower grout and door had mildew. The toilet paper holder was in a very awkward hard to reach place. The restroom in the lobby of the main building behind the breakfast area was dirty, the toilet paper was empty so I had to use paper towels instead. The trash can was overflowing all over the floor. My husband (a chef) and I did not care for the egg bake served at breakfast with the corn and stuff in it. They were super spongy and it would've been better and taste more breakfastlike if it was just plain scrambled egg with maybe some bits of bacon or sausage in it. We were not informed beforehand that the happy hour thing was only Monday-Friday, so we were looking forward to it and we had to actually ask about it to get any information. We felt letdown since that was part of our reasoning for choosing to stay here as opposed to another hotel downtown and then we still had to pay $25 for a cheap bottle of wine, not great tasting. And for what we paid to stay at the place for less than 24 hours, you would think all of that would've been included, especially since we were let down about the happy hour thing and we were there celebrating our anniversary.
The location was excellent. The tour of the properties. They provide packed breakfast and water daily
The breakfast was served in the lobby which is not equipped as a breakfast room.
Comfort of breakfast area...furniture, food. Friendly helpful staff. Cleanliness. Location. Charm.
.Bedding was too tight on bed...would have liked a fluffy loose duvet better. .Music in breakfast room felt wrong to me...thought that quiet classical or jazz (Diana Krall?) music would have fit the ambience much better. .Fridge and air con system in room too noisy...very hard to shut off air conditioning unit. Also very loud clanging of ?garbage cans outside my window at 8am.
