The only good thing about the hotel is the location. Near to the most attractions.
Everything else. The structure was really poor, dirty and dangerous. The wall painting was with a dark color to cover infiltrations. There was a mold smell in the room. Electrical wires exposed which is unsafe. The room wasn’t clean. There was a window in the bathroom pointed direct to the shower which is in front to a window to another hotel and there is no curtains to block the view. Even if is not possible to see anything, didn’t give us any privacy to take a shower or use the toilet. We had to improvise a curtain by ourselves. There is no hot water in the shower. And before I traveled, I contacted the hotel questioning about that and they answered me “yes, of course we have hot water in shower”, but they don’t. The only people who were polite was the lady who serve the breakfast and the lady who works at late night. Everyone else don’t even answer your salutations in the morning. They barely look at you or stops looking at their cellphones. The photos in the site are from the best rooms and common areas which are good but don’t corresponding to the reality of the all hotel. In general, the hotel has a negative energy. I won’t recommend been there.
The staff was nice, the view from terrace was nice
The smell of the room - horrible, humid, no windows that could be open (!!), AC directed to the bed and would make more wind than actual relief - we would wake up at night to open the door for a while. The noise level caused by the employees - the door (even if closed) is really not soundproof and we could hear people talking at the reception during the night and early from the morning.
Great rooms and great value! Fantastic beds, quiet, and tasteful decor. Provided an excellent breakfast! I’ve been to Cartagena a lot and this was one of my favorite places to stay considering the price.
The shower didn’t heat up, but I’m used to living on the Caribbean coast so that didn’t bother me much. :)
