The staff was very friendly and helpful. The location was fine. This place was once grand and has lots of character. But it felt tired and worn down. There were lots of places that looked a little “beaten up” like woodwork and carpeting, and the curtains. The bed was comfortable enough. WiFi was spotty and difficult. We could only get a signal when standing in one part of the room, and it was weak at that. The mirror over the bathroom sink was really pretty, but the bottom frame was set at about 5 1/2 feet up, so one needed a step stool to see into it. However there was a full wall of mirror over the rather large tub/shower (which worked just fine). Lighting was very dim so it was difficult to apply makeup. Quirkiness is fun in decor, but not when it usurps function.
