Close to the Canberra hospital
Location was fairly close to Canberra. Secure parking at no extra cost was really good. Pub food was basic and good prices. Nothing amazing but for the price was ok
Room fridge was not on and staff had defrosted it and left towel inside. No milk supplied for coffee and tea. Room had a joining door which meant you could hear everything next door. Out dated rooms and hotel area. Still very 1980s feel.
The property was clean
The room is as smaller than expected and no lifts to 1st floor and no help to get bags up. Also we got food poisoning from the restaurant which I was told was nothing to do with the motel but does room service
Staff were helpful and cheerful for the duration of our overnight stay. Small shopping centre just behind the property with Coles, bakery, cafe etc. Bottle shop and bar with restaurant located onsite of hotel. Easy parking area front and back. Fridge and toaster plus kettle which are good items to have. Hot breakfast offered at a reasonable price of $20 pp. No traffic noise heard in the room.
Room could do with a basic freshen up. Linens old and dark in colour. I think you should remove the Bed Spreads - they are outdated. Towels were yellowish and thin. Very dark in the room and closed windows that were sealed shut so the room had a musty stuffy smell. The ceiling fan helped a bit but the ability to open a window would be better. Bathroom was tiny with the basin being located externally.
Clean and convenient. Staff were extremely helpful!
Perhaps the establishment should start considering finding alternatives for their free single use plastic miniature shampoos etc.
