Location was great, near old town
Front desk staff was a bit neglectful; asked to have a taxi for 4 am pick up and they said they would order it but they never did.
The location was quite good, especially during the day, as it was close to the Calle Florida and the Casa Rosada - you should be more careful at night, but it’s nothing too dangerous. The bed was comfortable and the AC worked well. Good price/quality ratio. Averall a good hotel.
Minor renovations to the room would be advisable. The structure of the bathroom was not very functional.
The location is very good. Its directly in the center, you have metro in front and supermarkets close by. Very good access to all Buenos Aires and easy walking in the center. The reception area looks nice, somehow renovated and clean styling.
The Wifi did not work (room 113). I complained at reception, earned some hints on how to connect, but did not resolve problem. I do not think that is up to date behaviour... Its an old building, elevators are small, corridors also. Its not matching my expectation from the pictures. Streng smell (guess from carpet cleaning), could need renovation.
Only the location next to Lavalle pedestrian street with its many restaurants.
Our "superior" room (9th floor) was very basic and looked nothing like the online photos, which showed very modern features and decor. There were banks of cheap sliding-door cupboards - far too many for a hotel room - must have been converted from cheap flats. We also had a scruffy ante-room (maybe this was the "superior" part?) which was no use to us at all, except as a place to leave our suitcases on the cheap plastic couch. We kept being awakened by a very loud crashing noise which must have been something to do with the lift, so I suspect it is not safe to use. The place had an edgy feel about it which was reflected in the tense unsmiling face of the front-desk guy. There were lots of people milling around in the reception area - anyone could go up in the lift. You won't feel safe here - BA is infested with scoundrels, thieves and motorbike muggers.
Everything felt like new, no signs of doggyness, which is quite characteristic in Buenos Aires.
The bathroom's wall is glass, it feels a bit weird, and the internet was not very stable.
