Noise! The hammering early on Thursday morning, the noisy tour group leaving at 6.30am on Friday morning, followed by the use of power tools. But the highlight was the drunken domestic taking place just before midnight on Friday just outside my room involving people associated with the hotel.
It was a nice relaxed atmosphere.
The shower temperature was very up and down. Hard to get even.
Close to southbank
No iron/ironing board in room. No cupboard to hang clothes. Only 1 pillow provided per person & they were flat so when we asked for another pillow we were refused.
10 mins from city
Airconditioner was at least 20 years old. fridge was brown (since when did people stop making brown fridges, 1980's?). Windows were left open unknown to us until the last day, but were too high for us to shut so the aircon was pointless cuz kept escaping thru room. shower flooded into toilet cuz didnt have a door. room said had dvd player, but didnt. room said came with a double bed, yet had 2 singles cramped beside eachother. room looked nice on pics but we got the old rooms when there were new rooms beside us with nobody in them
It was easy to find on the way into Brisbane and parking was avaiable.
To be woken up by party goers on the way back to their room at 2am and to be woken up by guest that were talking loud and lasted for quite some time at 5am. To ask guest to be conciderate of others. I had a 7 hour drive after leaving the hotel.
Great staff, room was good value
Weekend public transport to and from that part of Brisbane (Doomben) is absolutely dreadful.
Location - able to walk to South Bank and City
Cleanliness of crockery and pillows unsatisfactory, however when notified management remedied.
Yes the staff where friendly, close to motorways, walk ways and easy to find. And we where able to check in slightly early thank you.
The showers hot tap came off in our hand we had to put it back together, the room was not well cleaned which made us feel uncomfortable.
I stay in alot of hotels through out the world, i had no sleep all night, this way the most noisest room i have ever stayed in, all night not a minute of silence.
first room we had the tv did not work so we were upgraded to one of there new studio apartments, the studio was very clean and modern, the orignal room apart from the tv not working the room was big with a double and 2 single beds ideal for a family very spacious and very clean.
the first room we had the tv didnt work so we were moved to a studio apartment, the room was small ,ok for 1 or 2 people but no more. had a room washing machine and dryer but no ventilation so walls were soaking wet after a dry.
