Excellent location just below the Castle – a short walk takes you to the splendid view of the Danube and to the historical core.
I was rather disappointed by the windowless room (the only "window" leads back to the corridor but there's no window to the street, so it feels like a basement/dungeon/rabbit hole). It's ok for one night if all you need is to store your stuff while sightseeing plus get some sleep (although the mattress was cheap – low and soft, not comfy at all). Breakfast rather unappetizing; diluted coffee (actually milk seemed diluted too!), stale bread, margarine and some mechanically-separated-meat salami, at least there were cucumber slices to add some fresh taste to the meal. I had a beautiful weekend in Bratislava so I didn't mind the drawbacks of this hostel but I honestly cannot recommend it to anyone seeking nice accommodation.
Perfect location and good value for money. Very nice staff.
Great location : 5 min walk to the castle, 5 min walk to the city centre, small grocery store nearby. Free parking spot just outside the hostel. Clean room, really kind staff.
The private bathroom is not in the room, but in the hall. That wasn't really a problem because there are only two rooms in one hall, but it would be nice if the guests were informed of this before making a reservation. There was no window in the room and the ventilation system was loud.
Room without windows Poor breakfast Uncomfortable beds Bad ventilation
Very close to the Bratislava castle and short walk to city centre (around 10 mins walk). Beds are quite soft and shower are hot. Good value of money with good breakfast.
Poor ventilation in the room. The room has one window but it is facing the corridor so didnt help with the ventilation and the curtain of that window is really thin. It is stifling in the room because of the poor ventilation so need to trun on the air conditioner. The ventilation/ air conditioning system has a lot of noise which could not be switched off and it was very unpleasant with those noise.
