Love the look of the brand new refurbished rooms! The bed was amazing, nice touch with 2 tvs in room. We had issues with hot water on 2 of the days we were there but eventually got a nice hot shower with good pressure. (Probably new maintenance teething issues) The hotel is getting upgraded so there is scaffolding around the whole outside, was hard for us to find to start with and unsure where to park our car to unload bags etc. But good they offer valet at an offsite carpark and pretty reasonable price compared to other hotels. Amazing location right across from Aotea square, we were able to walk everywhere for our whole 3 days! All in all, good stay, would stay again. Cant wait to see how it looks when the whole thing is finished!
Loved the room. The bed and bathrooms are great. It's awesome how they provide a little pouch for unused toiletries to take home.
I must say that I was very fond of the old lay out but having the noise of Queen street blocked out is certainly great. We always booked a twin room in the past but this time on my own I was in a queen,so hanging out to see the new refurbished twins. The staff as always are so accommodating and pleasant it really is a joy to stay here. The young very tall handsome male duty manager was very nice and the pregnant lady who is due in Nov is a gem, give them a raise immediately.I knew Earl Hageman when he was alive and he would be very pleased with how things are progressing all due to Mrs Hagemans exceptional taste.
On Queen St so a close walk to lots of shops, bars and the water front.
Everything was so lovely from the room to the staff and location. Would love to stay again.
