“I've stayed at Pornthep for a total of 2 months at different times over the past year, although this was my first time booking through this website. Exceptional value for clean and comfortable rooms. I've stayed in 3 different rooms in the back building and one in the front building. They've all had super comfy beds plus large windows. Appliances are not new but Wifi, air-con and hot water have always functioned perfectly for me. The cleaning lady does an outstanding job, not only of cleaning but also being respectful towards guests and their property. The two women who work at reception are always really nice to me. They rent out motorbikes, which is helpful for getting to and from the beaches. Nopparat Beach is just up the road and Ao Nang is not far. Long Beach and Khlong Muang Beach are also easy to reach on a day trip from here. And don't miss the little eatery called Muslim Kitchenette next to Family Mart. I've always had great meals there for cheap and, again, really nice people. The steak place across the road is also good and there are a bunch of other good restaurants plus markets and a grocery store located a short walk away in Khlong Haeng village. It's quiet here and more of a local vibe, which I prefer over the in-your-face and overpriced scene at Ao Nang.”
