Breakfast and the Thai was fantastic!
The cleanliness of the bathrooms was not so good. Our shower had soap scum and it needed a really good clean. Same with the floor in the room. Being at reception you could hear a lot during the night also.
fresh and crunchy bread, very filling breakfast, nice and helpful staff, clean toilets and separate showers that give a sense of intimacy; cosy interior design
no air circulation in the rooms, which is troublesome when travelers come back from a full-day tour of rainy Amsterdam and they want to dry the socks
I particularly liked how the staff were so friendly and willing to help. There’s 24 hour reception which was very useful for me as I had issues at 2am and the receptionist tried to do what they could to help. I liked how even though the facility was booked out and each room was occupied it was still a fairly quiet and peaceful environment. I loved and maximised my use of the reading chair
The issue I had faced while sleeping in my room was the presence of mosquitoes. Not sure if that’s a room issue or environmental (out of their control), I didn’t like how the room smelt when we got inside. It took a while to get used to. We stayed in the casa no casa. Otherwise everything was great.
The pad Thai was absolutely amazing. Hotel and bar staff were so helpful and friendly. Would highly recommend!!!
Good location, decent breakfast, lovely theme and design
Overall stay let down by a few basics. No water in room or glasses to drink from. Despite upgrading to the queen room, I was surpised to find no storage or hangers for clothes. Toilet paper was very poor quality. You had to walk through a public area of the hotel to get to the showers and toilets, the hotel should provide some basic slippers to walk between your room and the showers. You either had to walk barefoot through the hotel, or navigate the small very wet shower cubicle to dry your feet and then put on socks and shoes.
