Beautiful views, the courtesy bus was amazing and saved us so much money, the beach bar was great as was the pool. Our room was superb, the view from the balcony was amazing and the bathroom looked like it had just been refreshed. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The lunch we had in both the hotel and down the beach bar was good for a snack.
The choices at breakfast weren’t great and asking for extra money for an omelette was poor. Some of the rules were a bit much, the notice in the minibar saying that it would be removed if you put anything not from the hotel in it was something I have never encountered in all my travels. Some of the decor was a bit dated, our room looked like it had just been redone so it looks like this is something that is being addressed. Finally, there was no glasses in the room. We were given new single use plastic cups everyday (which everyone should really be trying to avoid). When we asked for glasses for a bottle of wine to take to our room we were advised that we couldn’t as it was part of the bar inventory so instead we had to drink our (not cheap) bottle of wine we had bought from the hotel itself with flimsy plastic tumblers. If they simply had a couple of wine glasses and couple of water glasses in the room this couple be easily resolved.
the breakfast was nice and the location was good
we spend over one hour trying to get checked out man on desk took money from 3 different cards didn't know what he was doing wife ended up getting no breakfast which was paid for they kept our passports and never gave them back to us when we were leaving we were left and had to return, bit of a attiude from the girl that came in at 8 then
The great location and scenery
The room , specially bathroom is a bit tired and old
the pool, the shuttle service to the beach and amalfi center.
if you try to reach the property for a request before your stay , i wish you good luck! they don’t answer to their emails, even you send a second email asking if they received an email still no answer. you contact them via booking.com assistant, they reply to the booking.com representative to reach them via phone. then you call them from canada and manage the time zone difference, they don’t answer their phones! dear hotel management, we are on 2019,there are way easier ways to reply to your guests: for example you can simply return to your emails. it is not very convient to say: contact us by phone. we did our checkin around 9:00pm after a long flight, during check in the reception staff asked our passports (which is very normal) and took them, and told us it was gonna take about 20min. to complete our registration. why would that take that long? i told her to take the copy of the passport(its a thing i dont really prefer but no choice) in order not to wait 20min. I never waited 20min. during check in in a hotel. it’s not a birth registration ,it’s just a hotel check in. breakfast below average, poor quality, not too many choices. bed was not comfortable at all. worst concierge ever: no recommendation for a restaurant. boat tours they are referring to are way expensive. they only know about amalfi, nothing about positano or the area. ask for rooms at the main building, if you re taking rooms at the additional section you’ll have to take 2 elevators a bit tiring to go to room each time.
We sat down when they were clearing some tables and the one Waiter was busy and rude, then a nice woman came to us and asked if we wanted anything, we asked for two cafe lattes and she went to get them. The men then trumped her and told her no...
They also skipped a line up to serve gentlemen when woman were waiting in line, never returned a pre paid credit card when paying for room bill.
