Nice breakfast, very comfortable bed. The room was completely quiet at night. Free street parking.
There were some creaky floorboards, but nothing to worry about.
the location was good
I put a filter asking for a place with parking, and there was no parking. The WC was inside the room.
Warm & friendly welcome from Dominic which was appreciated - he is the B&B. He has great language skills, speaks good English and Spanish and has great stories to tell with funny jokes and fabulous knowledge of Albi Room was spacious & clean, bathroom excellent and very big, great shower. Air con great, lovely furniture, plenty of hanging space. Loved Toulouse Lautrec artwork in our room. Homemade crepes were lovely, nice orange juice. Host is great piano player with a fun personally. Pool a bonus as it was very hot, lovely garden and patio area. Good outside space & location close enough to walk to town centre, restaurants etc approx 15-20 mins. Albi is a beautiful area, lots of historical places to visit. The old town is very pretty, people friendly. Best value is the €34 day pass which gives you access to Toulouse Lautrec museum, the cathedral and audio tour of the city with a 3-course lunch with glass of Gailliac wine included, you can buy these online or go to Office de Tourisme. Recommend L'epril de Moulin restaurant for a fantastic meal, great service, excellent value for money in beautiful old part of the city.
Private terrace needs a parasol as just to hot to use otherwise which was a shame as we would have sat out there - one of the chairs was broken (leg gives way when sit on it) Mattress in Toulouse Lautrec room was very firm, so didn't sleep too well. Only one thin pillow each, pity as bed is beautiful and bedding crisp & clean. Breakfast was a bit disappointing, although we enjoyed the homemade crepes, fresh bread & juice, it lacked variety. Pastries not from local bakery but from supermarket and were mini size. Little or no cereal, on Friday I wanted cereal but only Coco pops left, advised by host needed to shop for more, so Saturday I expected a replenished cereal stock but was sadly disappointed as still only Coco pops available. Lack of choice of spread for bread and pancakes. Advertised as 'buffet' style but items missing for a buffet style breakfast such as cold milk for tea or cereals, tea & coffee is not buffet self service even though there is a coffee machine, you have to ask for coffee and tea - it's a little hap hazard - on first morning there were just 2 small crepes left so 1 each and it wasn't explained more could be made and we weren't offered more. This was only made clear on our second morning. No savoury options so all in all very sweet offering. If breakfast was improved e.g. display all the buffet items, better explanation given with more variety it would be perfect!. No glasses in room for water or wine but was given these when I asked.
A great location and a friendly host. The rooms were really well decorated and made up. The air conditioning worked well, and breakfast was generous.
The breakfast was good, if you like marmelade and honey.
I rather have ham, cheese or eggs for breakfast.
