A little too much black paint
Trendy and minimal. Free mini bar AND a Nespresso machine as standard-big tick
Really missed having a full length mirror and a passable ironing board.
I have written a review
Coffee machine didn't work well and made the water used for tea taste of coffee - but the hotel management are already addressing this and will be providing each room with a separate kettle
I did like the decor and the freebies in the room but this isn't why I booked. I would have preferred it to have been what I thought I was booking....a four star hotel with a bigger than average room!!
When booking it said 4* hotel with bigger than average rooms this is misleading. It is a pub with ensuite rooms. If the pub isn't open you are left to fend for yourself. We made the mistake of leaving our key in the room and had to wait until the pub opened to get back in again. The deluxe room located (No 7) was tiny with very limited space. There was nowhere to store luggage the only storage was a small open rail. The bed is pressed up against the wall with one side free to get out. This is fine if single occupancy however for a couple we were falling over each other. The room is expensive for what we got.
The staff made it easy with everything I needed, the meals were great too.
The room was a little small.
