Wonderful

Lovely oldfashion building ,but newly restored in a very quiet residential neighbourhood. Spacious room( had the corner one in 3rd floor) big enough for 3 friends sharing with no problems.
The showerdoor is s bit tricky..,but other than that , everything was lovely.

The location is really good. There's a bus stop 100 feet away and a tram stop two blocks away. Buy a pass for 7 days at the Narvissen that's just a block away and use Rome2Rio to tell you what bus or tram to take. It's painless getting around. From the airport you can take the Flytog train to Skoyen Station and there get a #31 bus back towards Oslo about three stops to the Frogner Kirke stop, and the hotel is right across the street. Couldn't be simpler. Near by are bakeries, coffee shops, grocery markets, and a quite good Indian restaurant a couple blocks west n Bygdoy Alle. The bar/restaurant downstairs was surprisingly good and made great pizza - although it's not part of the hotel property. The bed was comfortable.
There is no reception or staff at the hotel; you check in with a electronic system that did work for us, but we saw others struggling with it. The "kitchen" has the dead minimum of equipment. There isn't even a toaster. No dish drainer, just one dish towel. When we left, my wife forgot a bag of gifts inside the lobby area, but once you check out of the hotel and leave your keys behind, you can't get back in. We called the hotel to see if they could help with finding the bag, but they sounded like a huge bother and didn't go to look for it for a couple of hours. It wasn't there by that time. I realize it's our responsibility to keep track of our bags, but the obvious lack of interest in helping us was a bad surprise.

Great location. Other than an oven, had a fully functional kitchen in the room.
Was confused about laundry offered. Thought the only laundry had to be dropped off at their main office a few blocks away. It was only when I picked it up, and their laundromat service overcharged me for extra services I hadn’t ask for (dry cleaning and ironing), they also informed me there’s a washer and dryer on my floor. My bedroom window had a nice view but means it overlooked the restaurant, so it was noisy at night with the window open, but thankfully quiet with it closed. And thankfully it also came with a small oscillating fan. (I stayed in summer, when it got a bit hot.)

Lovely building and room. Decor was so nice
The check in process as there is a chain of hotels we went to the wrong hotel with no one really to talk to
