Clean place, really nice owner. Polite other people that we shared the communal kitchen, bathroom and showers with. Located in a nice area
Was very handy for us as had a function nearby.
Not in the best condition for the price. Blind in bathroom broken and dusty.
The view across the street from the river was nice, but there didn't seem to be much else other than private homes in the area. There seemed to be plenty of parking available onsite. The floor of the shared kitchen was being scrubbed by a woman on her knees when I arrived, so I think their level of cleanliness is good. I used the kitchen to make a salad with ingredients I brought with me and fixed microwave popcorn later. The refrigerator in my room was convenient for storing food and wine I brought with me, and the electric kettle and two mugs allowed me to make instant soup, tea and cappuccino. The bathroom was lovely! It was large, clean and had a huge tub with glass shower enclosure.
I stayed in the Riverside Suite, which was a mistake. It is right on the street, which is the only way to have a view of the river, and very noisy. It's actually the main highway that goes through town. In addition, the room (it's not a suite) has seen better days. There were rips in the wall covering, the chair was well-worn and the room just generally had a rundown appearance, even though the bedspread looked new. The bed offered the choice of sleeping on the mountain peak in the center or in one of the two valleys on either side. The original owners, Ann and Dion, have apparently sold the motel, and the new owners don't seem to be living up to the rave reviews that my old guide book gave.
The pool and spa good with family
I booked the early check in at 10 but they didn’t get the message we still had to leave and come back at 2
Stayed here many times before and will definitely come back. Lovely staff, had trouble with the tv reception so got supplied with a chrome cast and could watch my own netflix on the big screen
