The amazing lake view from the bed! Quiet location yet a short walk to town centre where the restaurants were. Wonderful stay close to all amenities.
Not much! Maybe the walk back up the hill after a drink or too
We had just returned from 5 weeks travel through Europe and previous to that the States . Your happy hour is ridiculous $2.00 off a cocktail that’s already overpriced by Queenstown prices .No where in our travels did we see a happy hour so odd .Our sons and wife were woken both nights at 1 am by people in the next room Friday and Saturday night they had to turn their fridge off as it made so much noise. This was room 625 w
Very good buffet breakfast included with our room price. Bar and restaurant looked out over the lake and snow capped mountains. We had the wood fired pizza for dinner and it was great! Had some nice tasty beers and cocktails as well. The staff at the front desk, the valet driver, the restaurant and bar were all very friendly and helpful during our stay. Loved the layout, size and furnishings in our suite and the fact that we had a bath and large shower. We used the hot tub one night and it had a nice view looking down at the lake. It was also private and quiet. The guest laundry came in handy to wash and dry our own clothes. The close vicinity to town and local restaurants and attractions made this the perfect hotel to stay in.
The room per night was quite expensive which I don't mind paying but I was hoping to have a much better view than the concrete driveway into the hotel and the road above. It did get quite noisy in the main room because of this. The lighting in the room was too dim. Needed brighter lights so we could see what we were doing and what was in our suitcase. Also some of the mini bar drinks and snacks should be included for that price per night. Your cocktails were good but at $24 each or $20 during happy hour I couldn't afford much more than 2. Also $35 per day for parking is way too expensive. I understand it's valet but still I don't have money to throw away. It should be for free / included in room price. One last thing - that damn hill. Yes they have good views over the lake and Queenstown and it's a close walk into the town centre but walking back up that hill every time is a killer! They give you 1 free cab fare while you stay there but only through a certain cab company and their office base wasn't near where we were hanging out so it was easier just to walk back. Why don't you have a free hotel shuttle to drop people off and pick them up from town? With a 5 star resort that's what I would expect.
Buffet breakfast was limited but all good quality food. Room was large and spacious with a beautiful view. The hotels location was excellent. Staff we friendly and and helpful. The lobby was welcoming and tastefully decorated. Beds were super comfy and there is a pillow menu. Room service is generous and tasty! Wifi was strong.
Gratis coffee on offer at breakfast was Nespresso (that's just a taste preference, as my travel companions were very happy). My hotel room was unbearably noisy because of it's location. I was moved on my request. Ask for a quiet room up front if this is important to you.
