Peppertree Lodge - Hostel

We booked two nights at the Peppertree Lodge because of the review of 9 stars, so we had high expectations. Our first impression was good, there were lots of seats outside, which is perfect for the current sunny weather. To get to all facilities, including your dorm, you have to go outside, which is nice in summer but could be a bit uncomfortable in winter. The staff was laidback and friendly :)

Because of the 9 star review we expected a bit more. Don’t get us wrong, the hostel was good and I would recommend it, but I would give 8 stars. We went to some other Hostels with 9 stars which were more comfortable, currently new renovated and so on. So our impression would have been better without the high expectations. We also expected more of our dorm room because we thought that we would sleep in beds made of wood (there are some wood beds in the hostel, so maybe it was our mistake of the booking, we don’t know anymore). We also saw that some bunk beds in the other rooms don’t have a barrier on the top, this could be a bit dangerous. But anyway, it was a good hostel and nice stay, we loved the outside area! :-)
