Very poor. The vehicle we had booked (along with ski racks) wasn’t able to be fitted with the racks. Had to wait for an hour for issue to be resolved and this was only due to another customer not being able to complete their rental. I was charged additional charges of 250 euros when I returned the vehicle a day early with a reference to this but additional charges for the ski rack and other charges (which had already been paid for on collection of the car)Reviewed 3 Feb 2024

The scheduled car pick up point was closed, thanks to hotel staff on duty, they guide us to the another Sixt car pick up point near by. I think it's good to inform us by email where is the correct car pick up point, when the scheduled car pick up point is closed. Thanks.Reviewed 13 Nov 2023

The staff member at Munich was very polite and very helpful. Didn't have the type of car we hired but happy with what we got although it did cost quite a bit more than what we booked. The car GPS was all in German and we only speak English and couldn't get it into English mode. The drop off point in Verona was extremely hard to find especially after the one we found was closed. The vehicle that I had reserved was advertised as large enough for 5 passengers and 5 large suitcases, but the agent insisted that I needed to upgrade to a vehical costing 40 euro more per day. Then, the process of leaving the garage took an inordinate amount of time because the same agent failed to provide me with a valid parking garge ticket to exit. We had to return several times by foot in order to correct the situation to leave. Therefore, we arrived at our destination over 75 minutes late. The vehical itself did not have heat for the rear passengers. That mechanism did not work for the entire journey. Very poor experience for the price paid!Reviewed 28 Sep 2022

My message to thier customer service team: Hello, When I went to the rental pickup today I had reservation for a BMW 3 or Audi A4 (or similar). The desk agent said that he was giving me a free upgrade to an Audi A8. When I told him that credit card covers my rental car damage, he pushed hard that since that car is a very expensive one that my card wouldn’t cover it and if there was a scratch it could hundreds to thousands out of pocket. I told him that in that case I don’t want the car. He told me that there was no other option in my class car that I booked or I could have a tiny Corolla. I didn’t want to be cramped in a small car so I agreed to the A8 and the insurance. When I got in the car and tried to pull it out of the parking spot, I had a lot of difficulty maneuvering it and was very uncomfortable driving it. There were several cars in the garage that I would have been fine driving so I went back to the agent and told him I couldn’t drive the car. He insisted over and over that the other cars weren’t available. He never consulted a manager or offered any other solution. Finally someone else came over and assisted me and was able to set me up with a BMW X3 which was perfect. The problem is that both insurances are still on the rental agreement and I never wanted or needed it in the first place. I believe that the agent pushed that car on me so I would agree to the insurance. This is not an acceptable practice! I would like the insurance removed from my bill.Reviewed 21 Sep 2022

We had 2 cars reservations we made in Kayak website for our trip to Europe. When we got to Sixt at Munich, they told us our reservations are without any insurance for the cars.... We tried to explain to them that according to our reservations in Kayak website we need to have basic insurance, but they were very stricted, and asked us to add... 350€ for each car for the insurance! The cars were great, and the drop off service very efficient, but the value for money, after this addition, was not so good.Reviewed 1 Sep 2022
