The breakfast was great The rooms were really well equipped and loads of space and a huge amount of wardrobe space. The balcony was a brilliant addition. The summer pass is such a great addition! It meant we could do lots of things without thinking about paying for them!
The meal in the evening wasn't fantastic. Also, we almost weren't allowed to sit outside in the morning for breakfast even though there were loads of free tables (but we managed to sweet talk the manager to let us!) Other than that it was really fantastic.
Hotel itself is nice, the biggest advantage is the Summer Card that is provided with the accommodation. Thanks to that we were able to experience all the main highlights of the area including cable lifts (also the one to Kitzsteinhorn), entrances to scenic gorges and waterfalls, outside swimming pools - all for free. Also public transportation was included in the card, so it was very easy to reach the center of Zell and Kaprun. Staff in the hotel is very nice and helpful. There is also a SPA area available including dry and steam sauna.
It would be nice to have a kettle in the room. And light in the room is a disaster, it's tough to read even with the side lights on.
The stuff was so helpful and did good service
Parking far from hotel
The mountain hikes, boat rides on the lakes etc. Pinzgauerhof gave us a card for free lift use to reach the mountain tops, free bus rides, free boat rides etc. Would have cost us several hundred Euros otherwise.
The town attracts thousands of arabic tourists, many of them fully vailed, although that is prohibited by law in Austria. The police looks the other way. Store signs are in arabic and hookah shops are everywhere. I've been to Zell am See many times in my childhood, but now it feels like being in the middle east. Not exactly what I wanted. :(
The balcony, good wardrobe space. Value for money and friendly helpful staff.
Situated in Zell am See, 300 metres from Schüttlift and a 10-minute walk from the lake, Hotel Pinzgauerhof boasts a terrace and ski and bicycle storage space. The hotel has a hot tub and sauna, and guests can enjoy a drink at the bar. Private parking is available on site. Every room comes with a TV and a private bathroom with shower, toilet and free toiletries. Some of the rooms feature a balcony. In sommer, guests booking the halfboard receive soft drinks, beer, wine, coffee and tea for free during dinner, as well as coffee, tea and snacks during the afternoon. You will find a shared lounge at the property. The children's entertainment is ensured by the property's games room. You can engage in various activities, such as skiing and hiking. Areitbahn I is 500 metres from Hotel Pinzgauerhof, while Glocknerbahn is 1.9 km away. From mid-May to mid-October, the Zell am See-Kaprun Card is included in the rate. This card offers many free benefits and discounts, including free use of local cable cars and buses.
