It was centrally located, but turned out to be hard to get a taxi if Destination was within the old town (Muslim area, Bell Tower, City walls- All About 15-20 minutes on foot. Taxis wanted to go to destinations further away (like Terracotta army), Trip offerings (Performance and Terracotta Army with a guide booked from the hotel worked out well for us… though a little expensive). The room was small, but clean and had all necessities. Breakfast great as well as swimming pool was ok. (was a nice area, but not so set up for swimming laps). Cheap and efficient shuttle to Airport.
English at the front desk was challenging. Sometimes very hard to understand. The Problem being often that they gave answers that turned out to be inaccurate or confusing. The directions to the Airport shuttle turned out to be a disaster- wrongly described Location (even with a map!!!) and incorrect estimated time to get there. Fortunately we had enough time to find it and get to the Airport in time.
The breakfast in Sofitel Hotel which is part of the same group.
The reception staff could speak English for the gusts from abroad. They had trainee staff who only spoke Chinese. Very poor.
Beds comfortable. Very clean room.
The hotel inside closed campus with other hotels that include Resturants. BF was very good and staff are very nice
Old furniture but clean.
The location was good and being able to use facilities of The Sofitel was good.
Hotel is quite outdated and needs an overhaul. Upon check in we weren’t provided with any details about facilities or timings.
