The price we paid for bed and breakfast was very good at £215 for three nights, friendly staff and reception. The hotel has a good friendly atmosphere.
Last room at the hotel because of late booking was very dated and at the back of the hotel , but just about passable.
Check-in was easy and the receptionist was lovely. She made sure we were enjoying ourselves. The room I stayed in was a Superior room. Large and spacious, nicely decorated and had all the amenities you needed. There was also complimentary tea and coffee, bottled water, snacks and bathroom essentials such as shampoo and body wash. The views from the room were perfect, looking right out over the beach! Breakfast was included free with the room which was a brilliant bonus. It's served 8am to 9am and is buffet style. Full English, toast, cereals, fresh juice and tea and coffee were all available. The dining staff were friendly, smiley and all too happy to help. Me and my partner seemed like the only 2 young ones their so I think the clientele are mainly the elderly which is not a problem obviously, just an observation! They were lovely though, the ladies must have thought we were the best looking lads their! You honestly couldn't ask for more for the price paid. It was a very last minute booking and I'm glad I made the choice to stay here. Thank you.
In some areas it was a little dated. The windows in the room were very old, fragile and falling apart and cold air easily blew in. I'm guessing this is because it's a grade listed building in which case not a lot can be done. This is the ONLY issue I came across and shouldn't put anyone off staying.
It was convient for the town, and harbour
The hotel caters more for coach parties, so anyone on b&b are treated as an after thought. I asked for a seaview room but that was for the coach parties, breakfast was aimed again at the coach parties, we sat at a table for breakfast, which we did not realise wss for the coach parties and where made to feel uncomfortable by the staff as we where told we had to wait to be told where to sit. When we arrived at breakfast the staff where non exsistant hence us sitting by the window at a table
Not a lot. The location was about it. Shower was ok
Room was small and stuffy. Noise was horrendous from the other rooms! One towel for two people?? We didn’t get complementary biscuits but others did. Staff were short and not very helpful in our opinion
Very close to the beech and town centre
A little dated rooms
