The Location was good, the diner staff where friendly
The staff where rude and abrupt, and there was a $200 extra charge cause I paid with debit instead of credit, and I'm only 180cm tall but the showers on spray at mid chest height, i mentioned it to the front desk staff and the response was a shrug.
Excellent room for the price. The carpet was a little dirty but everything else was perfect for a basic room. One of the best basic rooms we’ve had on Our trip across Canada. The staff (Donna) was great. She knew the area and gave us lots of great advice on things to do and restaurants. Will stay here again!
Carpet was old but not a big deal
The location was perfect, and the rooms were quite large so lots of space which was nice.
The bathroom/ bathtub areas were very old and stained. Specifically the bathtub and sink, very stained and those areas just seemed dirty. the lamp shade in our room was also very dirty.
Within walking distance to restaurants, Chinatown, downtown, bus stop.
Just stay one night. Location is Ok
Too expensive in this location and provided the room.
Paul’s Motor Inn is a hotel evocative of a different time; opening for business in 1956, this hotel is what motorists would stop at with their families, since Victoria has built up. Paul’s has changed with the times and has many modern amenities encased in the 1950’s façade, but perhaps the greatest amenity it has is location as the hotel is a 5 minute walk from Victoria’s Chinatown, a 10 minute walk from Bastion Square, and within both walks are a ton of restaurants and attractions. There is also access to a bike rack and a copy center for business travelers in need as well.
Paul’s Motor Inn has 75 different rooms and they are divided into first floor rooms, city rooms, courtyard queen rooms, and executive rooms. It is only the first floor rooms that have a double bed, the rest of the rooms have single beds of differing sizes. The biggest difference besides the space is that executive rooms have a microwave. The other rooms lack a microwave, but they have an iron, ironing board, safe, mini-fridge, flat screen tv with satellite channels, and free Wi-Fi. One amenity that is really popular for the travelers is the Keurig coffee maker; travelers can bring their favorite K-Cups to the hotel for the perfect cup of coffee.
Paul’s Motor Inn is something really unique when traveling, staying at this hotel is certainly something that will be a great memory, especially for families. It is the perfect place to stay when enjoying Vancouver Island.
