Read the fine print!
I booked this hotel for me and my friends, we are all 19. You have to be 21 to book this hotel, it doesn’t say this anywhere on kayak.com or hotels.com so I didn’t know that until I got to the hotel which is 5 hours away from my house and in another country from where I live. I asked for a refund and the hotel staff was the most unhelpful group of people I’ve ever encountered in my entire life. I am a very nice person and will always be nice to customer service people no matter what my mood is, I work in customer service, I know it sucks. I had to yell at both the hotel staff and a representative from hotels.com before I could get someone to tell me if I could get a refund or not. Fortunately I got my full refund, that’s the only good part of the story. I was told by the staff that every hotel in Toronto was 21 and up. The first hotel I called after the days inn said I could book at 18. Like I said, I am a nice person, so you MUST be doing something wrong if I have to literally yell at you to give me a solid answer. As for the cleanliness, the hotel lobby immediately reeked of urine, the carpets were stained, and everything was quite outdated. I was talking to some of the hotel occupants while I was in the parking lot and they even said they found fleas in their room. Needless to say, I will never be booking with any days inn hotel ever again. I strongly urge you not to book with this hotel unless you prefer terrible customer service, fleas, and god awful smells to put you to sleep.
Not worth the price paid
Actually nothing at all
Ice machine broke, first room stank of smoke. Elevator sounded like it was about to fall apart. Zero redeeming qualities here.
rooms smelled horrible, really dirty, rude staff
Roof over my head for the night
It is close to were I am doing business.
They gave my non smoking room to someone else. So I had to stay in a smoking room for the night. Who still has smoking rooms in hotels any ways. Plus I don't think they even ever try to make it smell like a non smoking room ever. It stunk to high heavens of old smoke. It was sickening.
