Cons: I was booked on flight QF 74 from San Francisco, connecting in Sydney (3 hour connection) to Queenstown, New Zealand. When I went to check in I was told that I needed a transit visa for Australia because of my Indian Passport. When I booked the flight back in September, it was not a requirement to have a transit Visa. I was told by the Qantas supervisor that this was a new requirement as of October for Indian and Chinese passport holders even with brief connections. 9 people were in a similar situation the day before and denied boarding. I understand that things change, but I am very disappointed in the service provided to me. Of course, they could not help me get an evisa for Australia, but they were not even willing to help me search for it rebook a Qantas flight connecting in a different city/country. They did not even connect me with online reservations directly to quickly do something to be able to continue on my journey. They only gave me a phone number to call and sent me away. I tried the number and was on hold for almost an hour. Luckily, my friends were on a different flight on Air New Zealand that had seats leaving in 2 hours, and I almost missed that waiting to talk to someone from Qantas. I booked a ticket with Air New Zealand (by talking to their checkin agent, who was able to connect me directly with a reservations agent via a direct line, which was something I was hoping Qantas would help me with at a bare minimum) and I was able to purchase a ticket for that Air NZ flight and continue on. I’m VERY disappointed in the way that I was treated and not provided with assistance in a timely manner. I would have almost missed that flight and have to miss out on pre-arranged travel plans losing out on an additional $2000 in tour / accommodation bookings.

Pros: The seat was fantastic, the crew were great.

Cons: There was no entertainment for my seat, or the seat next to mine.

Pros: I liked how welcoming the environment was. I also liked the wide variety of entertainment.

Cons: I have many food allergies which meant I couldn't eat a single thing that was served. Also, there was a lot of advertisement.

Pros: First class seats are great and so is the service

Cons: Food was horrible. Salmon appetizer was inedible and entree was weird. Definitely not a first class meal

Pros: The crew did well checking up on everyone regularly and the plane was comfortable.

Cons: The meal was not very good. I would have really appreciated a small snack or desert also. The crew also seemed easily irritated at times.

Pros: At the check-in counter, Alieta was extremely helpful and went out of her way to assist me with a mistake on my travel visa. The flight attendant crew was superb, attentive, and friendly.

Pros: Crew made the very long flight comfortable and kept me informed.

Cons: Everything went very well.

Pros: Quick boarding

Cons: Plane was delayed. Second Virgin flight in a row for me.
