small bugs & insects in the bathroom, toilet didnt work properly, stains on bedsheets
The location is really good. It's central to many activities visitors may wish to see. It's also 2 minutes walk to Bugis street market and mall.
The toilet....omg! The cistern and the lid were covered in what looked like urine and splashback from diarrhea. The cleaners had obviously given the seat a quick wipe but left the rest. I have never had that experience in any paid accommodation before. The carpet in the room (room 1007) was the dirtiest I have ever come across in any motel/hotel/airbnb/homestay. Everywhere I stood I felt small pieces of rubbish stick to my feet. When I picked my suitcase up and put it on the bed the wheels had a massive amount of ck to them from the carpet which looked awesome on the fresh white bed linen. Yep, the linen was clean (whew). The smell of the dirt in the carpet was so bad that I woke at 5am with an itchy blocked nose which felt full of dirt....like when you've been working outside shovelling, moving and sweeping dirt for a day....seriously! It was disgusting. The attachment that holds the shower head wasn't attached firmly. It was completely loose which made the shower head drop downward needing it had to be hand held. There was plenty of soap, including shampoo and body wash. No conditioner. The restaurant smelt so thickly like dirty socks that I had to leave. I didn't bother eating the smell was so thick and warm. The night receptionist couldn't have cracked a smile if she tried. Although, the day staff seemed approachable. Singapore is expensive. So to pay handsomely for this experience....well....not really sure what to say. I'll leave it to your imagination.
