Lovely Family Guesthouse

the staff is supernice, the speak really good english and they were super helpfull the price is really good also, supercheap there are some restaurant close to the hotel i would come back for sure

the wiffi is really poor

Budget location with private room and bathroom with great AC. Short walk into downtown and right next to a local bar owned by a man who came from the States and brews his own local beer. Amazing hospitality from the entire family and would definitely stay there again.

We had to change hotels once because the first accomodation was too dirty (Baan Soksan; British owner). We booked the Lovely Family Guesthouse and were hoping for a better experience - and we got it. The family who manages the guesthouse is great, very welcoming and we enjoyed talking to the lady of the family a lot. The kids are well-educated and speak French and English very good, which we found impressive. The guesthouse offers tours to Angkor Wat and other surroundigs, they also helped us to book speed boats. The room equipment was very simple but sufficient. Everything was clean. We had a beautiful old table which was were inviting to be used for work. Same applies for the veranda with ventilators outside. Internet was good. I was able to put my medicine in the family's fridge which I appreciate.

Room was very hot in the first night but we were able to cool it down for the following nights. Just use curtains during the day or pay a little more for AC.

Big space in the room. Free water refill for bottles. Very friendly staff (not used to it in Cambodia!!). Hot shower. We spent 2 nights with deep sleep. Bikes are great if you want to visit Angkor. We left from there at 5am by bikes it was perfect to visit the temples and so much eco-friendlier than tuktuk.

Had to pay the price of a half day rent for the bikes even if we borrowed them from 4:30pm and only for 2 hours and the full day next day. Some electrical outlets didn't work in the room and some were defective. Didn't feel safe when we charged our stuff.

Everything was as it was described. Good location, close to everything - city center, Paar, Night Market, good restorants with Khmer cuisine. There was a good atmosphere in the place, the staff was helpful and friendly. The breakfast was good. Good value for money.
