Beautiful junior suite with plenty of space. Nice gym, pool, sauna area with very nice environment. Good location in a cute shopping area with restaurants and conveniences nearby.
No Level lounge! We specifically chose to stay here for the Level lounge and there is none (or it was closed? but it doesn't appear to exist anymore at all). The hotel accommodated us by providing food and drink in the restaurant, and did a good job handling it (a big set meal plus free coffee, soft drinks, wine etc. for 3 hours). However, they should inform customers upon booking a Level room, as it is pretty different having a separate lounge area. The restaurant and 1st floor were also very cold. Communication was fairly limited from most of the staff in English, including front desk staff. The woman running the restaurant finally helped us and took care of things.
The location is good. There are several shops and restaurants nearby. The staffs are very helpful.
The breakfast could be better.
Good western breakfast, very comfortable bed. Nice swimming pool and gym. Location is deal if you are flying from SHA airport. PVG is good 70km and 350 CNY away.
I missed a bathtub in the bathroom.

We upgraded upon check in and was kindly upgraded again to a suite which includes breakfast, afternoon tea and happy hour. Unfortunately we didn’t get to go to the happy hour, and afternoon tea was literally a drink with no snacks. We enjoyed the room very much and the bed was very comfortable!! We also made use of the BOGOF spa voucher and had a massage. Overall, for the deal that we got I would return.
Afternoon tea was really poor, and the dinner service was slow and we were the only two in the mercado restaurant. Also, we ordered from the pillow menu and the pillows we got were a lot worse than the ones already provided so we stuck to those. During our spa treatments, I had a spa employee but my partners masseuse seemed to be dressed in t shirt and trousers and my partner didn’t enjoy her massage half as much as I did. The BIG no no for me was at 11:20pm I heard light tapping in my sleep. It continued and I soon realised someone was at the door knocking even with the do not disturb sign on. Housekeeping was outside with some boxed up essentials like shaving kit etc? At this time of night and waking us from our sleep was not great. I told him we didn’t want it and he left - perhaps knocked at the wrong room, who knows.
