Yeah..... Looks can be deceiving
Checking out was the best part of the hotel stay!
1st room had a hole in the ceiling and was leaking water. 2nd room was sticky! My kids and I didn't want to touch anything. Room looked to not been cleaned in months. Also had blood on the wall in the bathroom. Had to ask the lady at desk (young girl who was very nice) if there was any room open that was touched by housekeeping that very day. 3rd room, though cleaned had torn furniture and rugs. The shower head sprayed everywhere but straight. The fridge broke down in the middle of the first night, so all my food went bad when I noticed in the late morning. Called the desk, phone had so much static you could not hear a thing. So went to front desk and asked for maintenance. Guy shows up, brings a fridge, drops it in the room and plugs it in by the front rooms door and leaves. Lost floor space since he didn't remove the original broken fridge. No refunds on the rooms reservation, so had to stick it out, as I paid almost $400 for the 5 nights. Pool was closed the whole week. They had pool workers there smoking in the building and stinking up the place (have to walk through pool area to get to the front desk) Garbage everywhere in ground do trashcans being full almost the whole time. The pictures online are misleading and the hotel, while looks good from the road, is very trashy. A gentleman next door talked to me, he was on hold with another online provider trying to get his money back, as he and his wife were upset with the hotels conditions as well. Recommended paying the extra $20-30 per night at the other hotels in the same area, if you are traveling and staying in Savannah.
Low Standards
The firm bed was great; very restful nights of sleep.
Facilities were poorly kept; pool didn't work properly; general cleanliness was below average; obvious low standards by operators; you definitely get what you pay for; the Day family would be shocked at what has become of their original focus.
They sold my rooms!
Booked through kayak, the reservation was confirmed, and when we arrived the front desk said they did not have any rooms! What good is online reservations if the hotel doesn't honor them? I guses we will go back to dealing with the hotels directly.
What a dump!
Location. That's all we liked about this place. Close to the interstate. Close to beach and Bay St shops and restaurants.
Safety was not good. Apparently the homeless are aware that they keep open access to the pool and restroom facilities. There was a couple in the game room charging their phones. Later, there was another couple that were there to use the bathroom and showers out by the pool but the fact that we were out there seemed to prevent them from showering and they put back towel and clothing items back into their backpacks. The lounge chairs in pool area were all broken. There was a patio off of our room with a bar on sight right next to our room. A woman was crying and chasing a male who had taken her cell phone. We took three of our grown children along with two grandchildren. Had a suite and a standard room. Had to go out and buy air freshners as soon as we arrived as the room smelled so bad. Next morning had to go out and buy coffee as they ran out in the breakfast area. Had to buy milk too. They had individual packed cereal bowls-great for the two grand babies, but then no milk! Both mornings we were there, no milk. Oh! And the rude person at the front desk-forget about it! Certainly not a place for children! Owner/management definitely needs to put some money into repairs and training staff! Did I mention the huge spider in the bathroom? And the bugs on the counter in the kitchen area? This was a family getaway to celebrate my daughters birthday. I would never stay again nor would I recommend this $?@!-hole to anyone!
Awful
Nothing
Everything was nasty
Price
As they say you pay for what you get. The price was excellent add said the have a indoor pool/sauna, which both was out of order. The breakfast was sad, waffles, coffee, toast & cereal. No meat or eggs. I was scheduled for two nights my wife was ready to leave after the first. Next time I'll pay more for a better experience.
Not a good start
The room was delightful
Couldn't find the room at first, need a map with all the alcoves. Hotel clerk had to show me then when I tried the key card it wouldn't open the door, hotel clerk had to help me and she couldn't get in the door either. There was a loud daytime party with a boom box roaring above this room, clerk said she couldn't do anything about it unless it was night and distrurbed people to call the police. She reassigned me a room and it was fine.
Run down
Ok with service from staff. Breakfast was adequate.
Room condition was not maintained well. Broken towel rack, and handle on faucet came off. I have photos if interested. Burn in comforter. Large debris on floor.
OK for a night
The indoor pool
Internet services were non existent
please don't stay here
This hotel is horrible. The rooms were not clean.we had to constantly tell the housekeepers to change the sheets and put new towels in the bathroom.while sleeping in the beds it felt like bugs were biting us.the pool area was not clean and the water in the pool was a funny color.it seriously looked like it needed yo be clean but instead of them cleaning it they add more chlorine, which did not help. The smell of chlorine was so bad it burned your eyes even when the person was not even swimming. I do not recommended this hotel to anyone.
I got bed bugs
Pool is decent and hot tub
I have approximately 70 bed bug bites on my back, shoulders, and arms. I never expected that, but it speaks volumes to the care the staff puts into cleaning. When I arrived the lady working was asleep in the room to the left of the counter. After a couple minutes I hit the bell to wake her up and it went downhill from then on. Lots of drunk, sketchy people roaming around at night. I would recommend you never go to this hotel.
The Room needs updating
Close to 95 and good room rate
Very old bathroom
