Was pleasantly surprised by the room (everything is brand new) and by the end of 5-night stay it felt like home. Housekeeping does a great job. Rooms aren't the most spacious but it's perfect for a vacation where you'll only be in the room to sleep.
Breakfast could have had more variety. same stuff every day but hey it's free and that's a big plus in San Francisco.
Bed was comfy
Employees were very unhelpful
under construction; nice rooms, poor service; safe
renovated bed rooms with nice decor & comfortable bed; clean close to Hayes Valley, a true SF neighborhood
currently under construction, paint works going on resulting in smells & noise; NOT disclosed on web site prior to booking! close to projects; doors are open during cleaning/painting and homeless people wandering around the lot, resulting in safety concerns; no safe in room bathrooms need renovation, stained tub and toilet; 70s decor night staff rude, seemed to have little hospitality training/experience
employees don't care to keep customers
I like how the front desk guy told me, since I stay here so much I should know when they advertise free parking they mean some time or when available. But, I didn't know in fact it is the reason I stayed loyal to the motel. I feel more of an effort should have been made to keep my reservation, instead he shrugged me off and I un check in and stayed at the same if not better motel on Lombard for a lower price and parking for all there guests.
I didn't like the mis advertising of free parking. You should state limited free parking.
I chose for location.
The free parking and destinations within a few blocks.
Not much in the immediate vicinity.
Good alternative to usual hotel extravagance
I appreciated the proximity of the facility to the building in which I attended a conference. I was able to walk there if necessary, or be transported with ease by colleagues. The rooms were clean and well-arranged. I was prepared for typical downtown noise and heard very little of that. I felt safe on the property.
My only criticism concerns the breakfast offered. I think for the price that perhaps a few selections could be added without "breaking the bank," e.g., a griddle or waffle maker or variety of fruit.
Decent hotel room. Comfy bed/pillows with very clean linen. Slight mildew buildup in spots in shower. Free parking, but limited. Park early and walk/take a cab. Over all would stay again.
Mildew in shower.
We are nestled in a vibrant area known as Hayes Valley. We are perhaps San Franciscos best kept secret. Hayes Valley is centrally located to many of San Franciscos unique neighborhoods with about twenty different restaurants within a two block walk. Most areas are walkable or accessible by public transportation. Neighborhoods such as The Haight, Castro, Mission, and Union Square are either a few blocks to 1.5 miles away. Destinations along San Franciscos coast like Fishermans Wharf and the Golden Gate Bridge are between 3 and 5 miles. Other nearby destinations includes Golden Gate Park, ATandT Ball Park, and a variety of museums.
