Checkin was complicated. I booked through booking.com and at checkin, they had a much higher room rate than my booking.com confirmation. It took 15 minutes for them to figure it out. The room and facilities were very dated, bathrooms were reasonably clean.
Didn’t like the fact the shuttle passed me twice at the airport — had to flag down the driver after 3 attempts and one hour outside waiting; didn’t like the broken locks, requiring staff assistance to open doors; didn’t like rats in the parking lot and in the grass. Rats as big as good sized kittens. Didn’t like the vomit on the inside of the door of my room. Asked for a reimbursement and was told to return to Kayak to get it. Ouldnt get a reimbursement without more significant hassle.
There’s got to be a better place for the $$$
This hotel is a seven minute drive from the airport; we waited 40 minutes for the shuttle. We were actually in the middle of booking another hotel when the shuttle finally arrived. Our room wasn’t in the best shape (cigarette burn marks, hole in wall etc.) but sufficed as a few hour crash pad.
The staff was very friendly, the location was convienent. I did not have to pay for parking or to have my small dog.
The bed was pretty terrible and my first room smelled very badly of cigarette smoke. They easily moved me to another room which was less stinky, but over all not so great.
At least it was quiet
Bed was terrible saggy in the middle.
Very close to the airport. Overall quiet.
Not the best neighborhood. Definitely under construction/renovation. No alarm clock, no local amenities guide. One thin blanket in the bed.
rude front desk staff. he does not know how to talk to guest.
Cheap but not worth it
Scratchy sheets, dirty place, limited airport shuttle, new employee couldn't handle "negative emotion" from me. He said it out loud. Rude
The bed was SO COMFORTABLE. In fact, we are now looking to buy a foam mattress for home, because our two nights on their bed were so comfy. The room was clean and had no strange smells (I have allergies), the bathroom was inviting, the staff was great, prompt and friendly. The airport shuttle helped a lot both times we used it. The complimentary breakfast was an added plus, especially since had to catch flight, no time to stop for breakfast.
What you pay for...
If you want a room to sleep in and bathroom to wash up in, this is the best deal around! The staff members were super friendly and easy to work with. I would stay here again in a heartbeat, this was perfect for my needs.
poorly trained staff
They had a room when other hotels were all booked up.
I found out why they had a room the staff was quite bad. I was given room 239 , my keys didn't work, so I returned to the lobby and the clerk said he had keyed the the cards for room 229, so he programmed them for room 239 as he had written and told me. I went back to room 239 and the new keys worked , except the room was occupied. I went back to the lobby and this time I was given 229 . This resolved the room issue. The next morning I went to the lobby at 4 am for my shuttle for my flight, the clerk checked and said I was not on the list for the shuttle, which I had been added to the previous night. I did eventually get on the shuttle, but I fear at another unhappy passengers expense. Overall I would not recommend them to anyone.
Pool with balcony/porch views
Kayak does not specify that you are given a pet friendly room until after you are booked- some people are allergic to dander- pet inclusive rooms should be a segregated category and made prominent before a non cancellable reservation is made
